"Where have you been?" My mum asked me when I rushed in the door. My food is already sitting on the table.

"Just out." I answered vaguely as I started to eat.

"Olivia!" She sighed with a tut of her tongue, but she lets it go.

I went back to the youth centre with Ethan after we had our dinner.

Aaron and Tim were the only ones there.

"Hi!" I said happily sitting down making sure I can see the entrance.

"Why are you so cheerful? You were in an awful mood earlier on." Aaron asked me.

"I was not! And that's a terrible thing to say to someone." I pretend to pout and then go back to smiling.

Aaron shook his head, giving up understanding my mood change.

I don't have to wait long for Joe and Joanne to arrive. When they get here I smile wider but stay in my seat and let them come to us without any of the other guys noticing.

"Hey," joe said when he reached the table, getting their attention, "you remember my cousin."

Aaron turns around quickly, "Joanne?" He asked looking at her.

"The only one."

"Hi." Aaron smiled at her.

"Hi." She smiled back.

Joe came and sat next to me, "they liked each other way back before Joanne left." He whispered to me.

"Wasn't that years ago. They were like 12. They're probably over it." I reasoned.

"Good to know how long it would take for you to get over me." He whispered directly into my ear making a shiver go down my spine. I didn't know how he could still do that.

I shoved into him lightly, "that's not what I meant!"

"Are they always like this?" Joanne, who was sat on the other side of Joe, asked Aaron.

"Yes." He answered simply, "you get used to it."

Joe pulled away so he wasn't whispering in my ear anymore and wrapped an arm around me, "like what?"

"All lovey-dovey." Joanne made a face.

"That was not lovey-dovey," Joe said then he picked me out of my seat and placed me in his lap, kissing me before I knew what was happening, "that was." He said when he pulled away.

I smiled at him from where I still sat on his lap, my arms now around his neck, "was that necessary?"

"Definitely."

"Ok then." I sat back against him, not moving back to my own seat.

Joanne rolled her eyes at us in good nature, "how very cute, and insufferable."

As we were leaving the youth centre that night, Joe held my hand, "it's suppose to be a nice day tomorrow too." He said.

"What are you thinking?" I asked, already pretty sure I knew.

"Park date do over?" He looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"Sure." I laughed at his wording, "what about Joanne?" I asked moving closer to him so she wouldn't hear. She was currently walking in front of us talking to Ethan.

"She'll be ok without me for a few hours, don't worry. Anyway I'm pretty sure her and her mum are looking at some houses or something. A friend of my aunts sells houses so she's getting them in on the weekend to get a good deal." He shrugged, he clearly hadn't been listening to the whole conversation.

"Right. So park date do over. And you'll actually show up this time?"

"I'll do my very best."

We had reached the streets were we parted ways. He reached down and kissed me goodbye, "I'll see you at 11?"

I nodded and walked off with Ethan.

"What do you think of Joanne?" Ethan asked as we walked the rest of the way home.

"She seems really nice. Joe had told me before that she was but with the way his family is you know I was worried." I told Ethan the story of me climbing through Joe's window to find her in his room.

"Maybe that's why you shouldn't climb through peoples windows?" Ethan suggested, he was never that happy about me going to Joe's room alone.

"This is a success story Ethan."

He laughed and we went inside.
