14 September 1609, 8:00 AM
Grand Gaiden Hotel, Parfeski, Chiruna

It's the second day of the three days that the Marinsean delegation will be spending at Chiruna. They were told yesterday that during the schedule telling, the Chirunans said that the Marinseans will be meeting the cabinet of the current Prime Minister of Chiruna. After getting ready for the day, Hardlen and Liamm went out of their room to go to the lobby.

Before they start doing anything on the schedule, they were invited to have a breakfast. Its was pretty good and the Marinseans felt a bit better.

After the breakfast, the delegation went to their respective cars with Hardlen and Liamm being in the same car. While they were on their way to the Kalbinghús, they heard a loud noise in the sky. They went to take a look through the window to see what it was. They saw three objects in a V-formation flying at really fast speeds.

Hardlen asked the driver, "Wha- what was that!? Are we under attack!?"

The driver responded, "Oh, no we're not. Those are just our fighters doing some training, so no need to worry."

Hardlen felt a bit relieved to hear that but still couldn't get over the fact that they have an air force and have wyverns that can go incredibly fast.

Little did the delegation know, the training was planned by the Chirunans to show them that they are a nation that they shouldn't mess around with.

Kalbinghús, Parfeski
8:45 AM

The delegation has finally arrived at the Kalbinghús, the building where the Kalbingi holds their meetings. This is where they would meet the current cabinet of the Chirunan Prime Minister.

They were shown the way to the meeting room by the Chirunans. The interior design of the building is a bit similar to the buildings they have back at Orissa, but Kalbinghús had modern technologies in it like air conditioning and fans.

Upon opening the door, they were met with a group of 12 people, but one of them stood out. He sat at the opposing end of the long table and had a different aura to him. Then, the man spoke, "Welcome to Kalbinghús, delegation of Marinse. I am the Prime Minister of Chiruna, Haki Blæsson, and these people are part of my cabinet. Please, take a seat."

Haki looks like he's in his late 30s with a bit of a beard. The delegation then took a seat on the table. The negotiations is about to begin.

"Thank you for welcoming us, your excellency. We're here to officially establish diplomatic relations with you and do some negotiations about trading", said Liamm.

"Your excellency, may I?", asked the Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Katrina Harsjadóttir.

"Yes, you may speak, Ms. Katrina."

"Thank you, your excellency. To start, our country is self sufficient in terms of meat and fish but is lacking in terms of grains. We are could only provide 60% of the total grains we need to our people. To be exact, we require at least 25,000 tons of grains* annually to be sufficient in grains. Heres the list of the amount of crops we need", said Katrina as he gave a list of the crops they need.

"25,000 tons? We don't use "tons". Can you simplify it for us?"

"Oh, sorry. What kind of units you use then?", asked Katrina.

"We use baskets for smaller amounts and sacks for the larger amounts."

"Then 25,000 tons is around 500,000 sacks."

"If that's the amount, then our country can provide it. Our kingdom has been blessed by the gods with fertile lands and anything that could be grown can be grown in our land. I'm not sure about these coffee beans and pineapples but we can manage", said Liamm.

"That's great! If you need anything relating to transporting the goods, then we can help", said Katrina.

"Thank you for considering."

Katrina then sat down and the cabinet felt relieved that they can finally not rely on their fishes and livestock for food.

"Since we just asked what we need from you, is there anything else we could provide you?", asked Haki.

"Well, there's this one problem we have in our nation...", said Hardlen.

"What is it?"

"Well, our neighbour, the Imperia Romadia, have been stationing a lot of troops near our borders recently. We're not sure what they're doing, but some suggest that they're planning on invading us."

"An invasion!?", yelled Haki. They just transferred in this world recently and now they have to go to war with another nation? Who knows what the public will react to them declaring war on another nation. They might call the prime minister a warmonger and an excuse to be imperialist.

"Yes... It would be much appreciated if you could provide us some troops to stop the Romadians."

"We're sorry, but can you please give us some time to discuss this matter?", said Haki.

"Well, I guess that's understandable."

The meeting went on smoothly for another 30 minutes.

"If there's nothing else, then we shall end this meeting. Thank you for coming to our nation to establish relations with us", said Haki.

"You're welcome, your excellency", replied Liamm.

The meeting between the two nations ended. Marinse will be providing food to Chiruna while Chiruna will be providing help for the transportation of crops. The Chirunan also got approval from the Marinseans to renovate parts of the Orissa harbour to accommodate the ships from Chiruna.

About the threat of an invasion from Romadia, its still being discussed by the parliament.

From General Hardlen's Diary

"My first impression of Chiruna were not too impressive due to them having mostly not so big houses and buildings. But the more time I spent in Chiruna, the more I realized that it isn't about the buildings of a nation. It's about the people of the nation. The people of Chiruna were kind and polite. They were proud of their nation but didn't showed it out loud. The landscape of Chiruna was fascinating. In conclusion, Chiruna is a nice nation and its a good thing that we managed to establish relations with them.

Hardlen"
