16. Goodnight

Harry pov:
Jade looked at me with a twinkle in her eyes as she smiled.
"What is it?" I asked, not being able to help myself but smile as well.
"Cotillion might be over... But that doesn't mean that the night is."
I grinned.
"Very true. Also, I already planned a little something... Since I was hoping to ask you out instead of you confessing to me."
"Sounds interesting?"
"Give me five minutes to get things ready. Stay here, okay?"
Jade nodded and I kissed her cheek before hurrying away.

I returned to Jade and held my hand out.
"Do you trust me?"
"Yes...?"
"Close your eyes. It's a surprise."
Jade took my hand as she closer her eyes.
"Where are we going?"
"Wouldn't be a surpruse if I'd tell you." I said and Jade chuckled.
I guided her to the enchanted lake and I looked at her.
"Alright, open your eyes." I said and her eyes widened.
I might've set up a little... 'romantic' scene with the candles and shit but hey. Jade seemed to like it.
"Did you do all this?" Jade asked in awe and I nodded.
"I did, for you."
Jade looked at me and she smiled.
"You've got such a soft side underneath the tough guy act."
"You just noticed? It's hard to hide it."
"Clearly not hard enough."
I chuckled and Jade looked at me.
"So, what's the plan?"
"Good question... I have no clue what this was supposed to be or what to do next..."
"That's okay... Don't worry." Jade said and a small yawn escaped from her mouth.
"Are you tired?" I asked.
"A bit..." Jade admitted.
"Come on, I'll walk you back to the dorms."
"Shouldn't we clear this place first?"
"Meh, I'll do that tomorrow... Although we should blow out those candles just in case."
"Did you just say somethinf responsible?"
"Hey-!" I said being offended and Jade grinned.

So I walked with her to the dorms and I looked at her as she was shivering.
"Here, you can wear my jacket."
"Thanks... I guess I should've kept the black leather jacket close instead of bringing it back to the dorms."
"Don't worry." I said and she smiled as she put it on, the jacket was way too big on her.
But it did look cute.

We arrived at her dorm and she handed me my jacket back.
"Well, Goodnight I suppose..." I mumbled.
"Y'know... I have no roommate... So there's no one else in my dorm..."
I smirked, she wanted me to stay with her for the night.
"Is that so? Then what does that mean?" I teased.
"Oh just get in here." Jade said and I chuckled as I did.

We were lying next to eachother in her bed, my arm was wrapped around her and her head was leaning against my shoulder.
"I love you..." Jade said softly and I smiled.
"Hell Jade, I love you as well."
I kissed her forehead and then I felt how she slowly drifted off to sleep.
"Goodnight m'lady..." I said softly.

Perhaps a bit cut off but this is the end of this story.
