Draco's POV
When Ron blurted out that he'd gotten the potion from Astoria, he wasn't even really surprised. Astoria's uncle was a wiz with such potions. How had he not seen it before. Fuck! This was his fault. "Nobody was trying to steal her from you and SHE'S NOT A FUCKIN OBJECT THAT YOU CAN OWN! But she is my friend and you need to learn to respect her!"
Blaise who had truly felt like Hermione was the sister he'd wanted his whole life was livid. Pansy was shocked, but pissed and both of them looked at each other. They knew this wasn't going to end well.
They were proven right when Draco spoke again. "Blaise, owl mum for me and let her know what Astoria did, so she can let the lawyers know. I want her prosecuted for it. I'll let Hermione decide what she wants to do about Weasley, since he's her friend, but I want Astoria for giving him the potion, stealing from us and child abuse."
Glancing at Harry and Ginny he nodded before lifting Hermione effortlessly and apparating to the steps of St. Mungo's . He walked inside and asked for Dr. Chang, explaining that Hermione was her patient and she'd passed out.
When the beautiful Asian woman came out, she had a charmed stretcher for him to place her on. "Mr. Malfoy, what happened?"
He quickly told her what had happened leading up to Hermione passing out and what Ginny had said about the baby kicking. He was terrified but hopeful when the woman said Hermione would be fine. He just needed her to open her eyes again.
He sat in the waiting area while Dr. Chang checked her and the baby. He had his head in his hands. He felt anxiety welling up in him. He knew if he lost her, there'd be no hope of saving him and not just because his veela would die. He looked up when Cho came out and called him. "How is she?" He didn't even realize he'd been crying until he felt a tear sneak down the side of his cheek.
3rd POV
Cho came out of Hermione's room and softly called to the distraught blonde, "Draco."
Seeing how concerned he was she brought him into Hermione's room so he could see her. Hermione was lying unconscious on the bed, several monitors floated about keeping a check on all of her vital signs, and the baby's.
"I don't know how to say this so I am just gonna tell you straight." Cho said a little nervously. "I'm not sure what is going on." She pointed to the monitors. "According to every test she is perfectly fine, healthy and hydrated the whole nine yards." She then tapped another screen. "But she is in a deep slumber-like state. I would almost say it resembles a coma." She quickly added, "But it's not. This was done magically." She then pointed to Hermione's belly, "By this little one."
Draco's POV
Draco wiped his face hastily and stood. When Cho led him into Hermione's room, he nearly sobbed aloud. She was so beautiful. She looked like an angel. His angel. It brought back memories of the last year he'd spent with her. She'd saved him and had been his angel.
"Is there anything you can do? Is she in pain? I have a huge library at my disposal. I could go through and see if I can find anything that would help. Please, just tell me there's something I can do. I need her to open her eyes and be okay again." As he spoke, his tears began to run down his face again. How would he explain this to her family? It didn't even matter that he was no longer the stoic version everyone was used to. This was Hermione. The one person who had believed in him and forgiven him. The woman he loved more than anything. He'd never told her.
Weasley
He could hear it and knew it was his veela, but he also acknowledged that it was right. If not for the redhead, this wouldn't have happened. Now he had to pray to whoever was listening that she would be fine.
