Chapter Sixteen

Hermione's POV

***A few months later***

Hermione woke up early to the sound of babbling in the nursery. Smiling softly she got up and went to the two babbling babies.

"You two are so chatty this morning" she said softly with a small chuckle "can I join in?"

She smiled and lifted the cooing Scorpious, nuzzling his nose with hers and making the little boy giggle and squeal with delight.

Gently she let him down onto the floor, and let him rest against some pillows while she got Rose.

When she had both children she settled down with them on the floor. Rose in her lap as she sat cross legged, and Scorpious sitting against the pillows as they played with his toys and Rose babbled baby talk.

Draco's POV

Draco had been working until late into the night since they had been informed of a problem with one of their muggle formulas. Of course first he had to have all the ones in the stores recalled, then he had to make an antidote and finally he needed to correct the problem. Where Blaise would usually handle the first task, he'd extended his stay in Italy and wouldn't be back until later that day. So, that left Draco to deal with it all. Of course he didn't mind and had even contacted the person who had had a bad experience and made sure they were okay as well as giving them free products for the rest of the year and 50% off on any new products they wanted to purchase, also for the rest of the year.

The woman had said it wasn't necessary, but he insisted and then sent a batch of the antidote and new serum over by a muggle courier as soon as he'd finished. By the time he'd fallen into bed, the sun was coming up.

So when he woke up to the sounds of babbling and cooing, he wasn't sure what was happening. Getting out of bed quickly, he walked to the nursery door in just his pajama pants. Opening it, his heart nearly stopped as he saw his son, Rose and Hermione all playing. His heart melted a little seeing all of them so happy. Rose was the first to notice him and she made grabby hands for him. Scorp was next to see him and started trying to talk to him.

"Hey buddy. Hey Princess. How are my three favorite people doing this morning?" He smiled at Hermione. "How about I go make us some breakfast?" He tried to stifle a yawn but with only 3 hours of sleep, he didn't quite accomplish it.

Hermione's POV

Hermione looked up and her heart skipped. Draco shirtless was enough to make any woman hot under the collar. Gulping slightly she looked at the light scaring on his chest and subconsciously bit her lip before managing to tear her eyes away. A blush creeping up her neck into her cheeks as she shook her head "You were up late I should make breakfast." She smiled and looked back at him "If you can take my place here that is"

Soon as they had swapped places she half hurried down to the kitchens. The cold slate tiles under her bare feet helped cool her down from being so flushed after seeing how sexy Draco was.

Draco's POV

Draco had had scars for so long now he honestly forgot about them. But at her blush, he smirked to himself. He had always known he affected her, but he'd assumed it was in a negative way, so to see his mate so obviously hot and bothered just from him being shirtless gave him a confidence boost that was stronger than anything he'd ever felt.

Sitting down on the floor with the 3 most important people in his world, he tickled Rose's tummy and kissed Scorp's head. "I didn't wake you last night, did I? We had an emergency at work and since it was a muggle who was affected, I wanted to resolve it as soon as possible. Took longer than I wanted though, because I had to handle Blaise's part too, but I'm glad he and Pans will be back today." He sighed, but laughed as his son, who had been trying to stand lately, pulled up using his arm and then he decided to play with the blonde hair that looked so much like his own. "Little guy, slow down. You're growing up too fast. You better not start trying to walk yet." He was being mock serious.
