Chapter 5: Mock Battles part 1

*So it's just Todoroki, Bakugo, Kirishima, Kaminari, Ojiro, and Ashido. Would have thought the others would at least want to see these fights.* I thought as I entered the arena. I looked over to see Midnight and the others standing off to the side, *oh so that's where they are,* as I went and gave her a hug as a hello. "I'm happy to see you too Kuro. Now go show them how it's done," she said as we parted. I gave her a face that said, "Do you expect any less?" as I walked over to a circle drawn in the sand in white chalk.

"Ok, here are the rules: one, no lethal blows from anyone, two, the moment I say the fights over it's over, three, if you go outside the ring, accidentally or otherwise, you lose, and four, losing consciousness counts as you forfeiting the match. Am I understood?" she looked at the others all of whom nodded then looked at me and I nodded as well. "Whose first?"

"I'll go first," Kirishima said as he walked into the circle. Taking a stance, he hardened his arms to get ready. And I sent my energy into my legs and back preparing for Midnight's signal.

"Go!"

I charged straight at him at full speed and threw a punch at his chest. He hardened just in time to nullify most of the damage that I would have caused him, only to throw his own punch. I ducked and started throwing a series of punches anywhere I could manage to hit. The only thing about how I was throwing them was that I was changing the trajectory right before impact making it near impossible to predict where I would strike next. With each hit I sped up my striking speed until my upper body looked like a blue and white blur.

Third Person POV

"How is Tatsuki moving that fast!?" Kaminari asked with his mouth open in shock, "that's not human, how fast he's hitting Kirishima!"

"I'm more interested on HOW he's hitting Kirishima. I mean it looks like he'll hit one spot then WHAM! he's hit someplace else entirely," Ashido stated with blatant surprise written all over her face.

"True, but look at his eyes," Ojiro brought the others attention to Kuro's face. "It doesn't look like he's even thinking about what he's doing, he's just doing it like it's second nature to him. What kind of training did he have to go through to get to that level?"

"You kids have no idea what he's been through," Midnight piped up for the first time since the start of the match. "Think of the most rigorous, painful, abusive training you can imagine. You got that? Now triple it. That's a taste of what he's been through. If I were to use one word to describe it the best one would be... H*ll." Midnight ended her explanation as Kuro walking over waving to her got her attention. "I think he passed out." "Well then you win this match." Everyone looked at his hands, but they had no idea what he just communicated. *What in the world do those signs mean?*

Kuro POV 

One second, I was dodging and returning Kirishima's punches and the next he stopped throwing them. *What's going on?* I looked at his face, *oh he passed out. Well I guess that means I win and he needs Granny by the looks of it. Whelp that was a fun warm up, who's next?* As I walked over to everyone I saw they were talking so I started waving to get Midnight's attention. "I think he passed out." "Well then you win this match." "Whose next? Also he probably needs Granny to patch him up." "Did you beat him up that bad?" "Hey, he could take a hit so I just kept hitting." She just sighed at me so I looked at the others and told them he passed out. Ashido in particular looked shocked when she heard Midnight's breakdown.

"How many times did you hit him?" She asked me. I thought about it for a second before answering, "about 327 times." They all just stared and if I thought that they looked shocked before, the expression that they wore now could only be described as astounded. "In less than two minutes?!?!?" "I could have hit him more, but I was warming up. So," Seeing that I no longer had their attention I clapped to bring them out of their trances, "who's next?" I signed with a smirk.
