New beginnings~ (calvin/fluff)

It was summer the best time of the year warm, mellow and overall just great. You were currently laying on a Blanket at the park reading the book "the girlfriend" your friend suggested it to you. As you were minding your own business you heard a faint voice call "scotty! Scotty comeback" you turned around to see a small dog run towards you he sat next to you as you gently petted him. Seconds later you heard footsteps behind you say "sorry about him he never does this" as you turned around your eyes met with a tall man with glasses wearing beige pants and a blue button up shirt "it's okay I love dogs" you said with a smile planted on your face. He walked closer to you the closer he got the more you thought you recognised him "do I know you? I swear I recognise from somewhere". He froze after you said that your still looking up at him with a smile on your lips "we probably go to the same coffee shop" he laughed a little "what are you reading?" "oh uh a book my friend recommended to me called "the girlfriend" she said it was pretentious but I like it so far have you read it before?" You ask "sorry did you say something?" You chuckle "yeah the book have you read it before" he smirked and asked "Can I borrow the book only for a second" you pass the book up to him as he opened the last page revealing a small back and white photo of himself your cheeks start to glow red from embarrassment "I was kidding when I said my friend called it pretentious" he gave you a kind smile "it's okay may I sit with you?" of course" you scoot over making space for him. He sat down on the purple and blue blanket "just don't tell me how it ends" "hmm?" He hums "the book don't tell me how it ends" he laughs "promise" he says with a smile.
