"Hey George, there you are! Father said he wanted to see you in his office," Niki informed me as I passed her in the hall. Which explains where I am now.
I knock on my dad's office door. "Enter!" I opened the door to be met with a full room of light. I had to squint a bit to find my way around.
"I'm proud of you, son. You might have a boyfriend soon, you are doing well in training, your practice mission are going well, and you've gotten good at thinking quick. You're becoming a great agent."
'This isn't real,' I thought to myself. Did my dad just compliment me?! He loves me? I smiled happily.
"W-what about Wilbur and Niki?" I asked nervously.
"Well as for your sister, she's doing well in training, needs some work, but not bad. She's a natural when it comes to knives." I was proud to hear Niki was going good. I helped her the other day before I left with some training.
"Your brothers seen better days. While you were gone, we learned that Wilbur has Bipolar disorder. How we never noticed it before, I don't know. But it's noticeable now. He's...different."
'THIS IS EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER WANTED TO HEAR. I'm doing well, my dads proud of me, Niki's doing well, and I am better than Wilbur at something!' I internally cheered myself on.
"Son-" I looked up at my dad, "I am proud to announce that you will be next in line for the leadership title in Davidson Mafia Clan." My father smiled softly at me.
"Thank you, it's an honor." While I had everything I ever wanted, it felt like something was missing...
