  • Dedicated to Great-grandma who died when I was eight. She was 95.

7 years have passed

Since you left my life

I loved you so

I remember your soul

Even if I was only 8

To this day I think of you

All the times we shared together

I remember lying on your lap

You fragile hands caressing my hair

They joy I felt when we visited

The hurt and sorrow when you passed

I loved you then

I love you now

I'll love you for the rest of my life

You were the only one I knew

As a great-grandma

Not too long from then

You'd have turned 100

And we'd have had more memories

i think of you every day

Since 7 Years Ago

A/N: A poem for Great-grandma Smith. Died when I was seven and I loved her dearly. Now that she is gone, I cherish every memory we made and try to make the best of what time my other grandparents have left. Not the best of memories, but some feelings I think now are best to be shared and to relieve me of my pain

I love you, Great-gandma. Rest In Peace.
