Do you prefer physical
Or do you rather emotional
As the type of pain you feel
All Pain is normal
But when one inflicts their own
It does not go down too well
People will think you're crazy
And which they could be right
But do not let this hold you back
There's still a way to turn around
I know, I've done it before
I have seen the light, but can you?
Let your friends take your hands
And guide you to the tunnel
This is where you'll see a way
A way to go home, to a new beginning
I won't grow old, living a life in pain
I will try to make an effort
To leave that life behind
There is nothing for you here, if you inflict pain
Most like you cut themselves
Or worse, they like the physical pain
It takes the emotional pain away. So call you friends
They know you pain and they will help
Doctors will call you crazy
When truly you're not
It is just a lie they tell
So do not trust the men in white
But instead the boys in blue
You say you see an angel
But you are just fantasying
Wishing they could carry you away
I wall not call you mad
Or insecure of words like that
Those words are all lies
No human fits in that list
Because….not one is unhinged
This poem is to alert people about depression and anxiety. Some people are called different, crazy, delusional and it gets to them. They believe what is said about them. Sometimes they go into deep depression and have to go to counselling. Some people are rather lucky to have friends who care about them, and, like me, managed to get through it without having to go to a counsellor. Just because people are different doesn't mean that they are crazy or delusional, thy are special. Everyone is special.
