Dark and Cold

There is no sun today to warm the chills.

There is no sun today to light the world.

There is no hope today to save the dying.

There is no tissue today to wipe the tears.

In the dark and cold of the day there are hands reaching.

Reaching out to pull you in. To trap you in the void.

Escape is not possible.

Freedom is a word now foriegn to your ears.

Hearts turned black and hearts turned to stone.

No love for you in the cruel world.

Life is a prison of which you cannot escape.

In this hour so late and this night is so cold.

The hope that aims upwards is not facing skywards.

Let the stars guide those who still believe.

Let the Lord hear those who still pray.

On this night so dark, and cold.
