Chapter 1: I don't share

Mina's POV
I woke up today feeling extremely unmotivated and definitely not excited. First day of school. All summer i had all this freedom, experienced so much and now there it is. The end of it all and the beggining of real torture. But what can i say. It's senior year. I need to get the highest GPA possible so i can apply to a nice college and make my parents proud. It's definitely gonna be hard though. My parents are hard to please. My mum is a prestigious doctor and my dad is a successful lawyer, so it's no brainer they'd want their kids to be successful just like them.

But here is the deal. I want to be an artist. I've had a passion for it since a little kid. I mostly paint at night though, since I'm pretty busy in the day. Piano, ballet, maths club, cooking courses, horse riding, homework, housework...just my normal routine. I know what you're thinking. When is this chick gonna explode? Honestly I'm wondering the same thing. Anyways enough about me. Long story short i put my navy blue school uniform, had breakfast and went to school. When I got there i looked around and saw the usual. It was like no time has passed. There just by my locker were standing Lorrie and Ally. My two best friends. I don't know what i would do without them. We've known each other since babies. Anyways we had a lot to talk about. In the middle of the summer around July we spent a week together at my parents' yacht and then only talked through instagram.

- "MINA!!"- they both screamed
-"OH MY GOD HI!!"- i replied
Everyone was staring at us but who cares, i missed them so much.
-" Girl we missed you so much. Do you know who we saw?"- Lorrie excitedly said.
-"No...Is it Beck?"
-"What no. It's Liam."- Lorrie replied.
Liam was this quiet kid. I only had one class with him and it was the worst one out of them all. Chemistry. Words can't describe how much i hate this subject but that's another story. The real question here is why were my friends gushing about HIM? Not to be rude but he is kind of an....outsider? I never saw him actually talk with anyone and he seemed kinda weird and creepy. Not that i ever saw his face. He was always wearing a hood. And yes the witch, aka my chemistry teacher did always tell him to take it off but since he was sitting in front of me i could only see the back of his hair which looked...nice? Nothing special, atleast to me. I mean you can't really judge someone's appearance just by their back right?

-" Liam? The quiet short kid?"-I said.
-" He actually grew with 30 cantemeters this summer(11 inches). He also has a six pack now and learned how to dress better."- Ally said.

Ally always knew the latest gossip. No matter how private you try to keep it, she always finds out. I don't know how. She has never told us. That's like her only secret. But anyways. What she said completely shocked me. And it seemed that Lorrie agreed so they must have seen him. Oh my god. I have to see this with my own eyes.
-"Where is he?"
-"OH MY GOD"- Lorrie screamed, looking behind me. I turned around and-
-"That's Liam!"- Ally implied.
There in front of my eyes was the most perfect man i have ever seen. The truth is that i have actually seen his face last year, although very rarely and i always thought he was cute, but now. Now he was just perfect. He had hazel eyes and coconut dark brown hair. He was now tall, like really tall. Atleast 6,3(190 cm). He was also dressed very well. So Ally really wasn't lying. Not that i was surprised. I couldn't help but look at him.

To my surprise for a moment he looked at me. My eyes met his. It was just for a moment but it made me blush. Well fuck. That was it for me. I admit it's a little bad that i only started liking him after he had his glow up but what can i do.
-"Hello? Mina snap out of it"- Lorrie said
-"Girls i don't know about you but-" Ally stopped for a moment. " I don't share." she said jokingly. We laughed and went our separate ways to our first classes of the school year. Definitely wasn't excited but i was too focused on Liam's new appearance. I definitely felt something the moment he looked at me. This can't be good. This new crush will just be a distraction in this important year. I hope it passes soon.
