Ally's POV
What was going on with Mina. She usually never drinks. Only when she is really upset. And the last time I've seen her this upset was when she got a C on her physics exam last year. Something must have happened. I need to find out.

I know the most logical answer would be to ask Mina herself, but something told me i shouldn't. So who do i ask then? I sat in silence for a while, until it finally hit me. "Just this once" i told myself. I took a deep breath and opened my phone. I scrolled through my contacts and found the person I was looking for.

Beep beep beep

-"Hello?"

-"Hi Tony.."

-"You know you're not supposed to call me anymore, right?"

-" I know but uh...listen. It's about Mina. I saw you guys talk last night at Liam's party."

-"Yeah what about it?" he asked.

-" Well she was really drunk which means she must have been very upset. Mina never drinks. And last night she literally fainted. Did she say anything to you?"

I could hear Tony take a deep breath before saying:

-"She basically told me how you all guys have a thing for this Liam guy and how she and him had like a moment at Lorrie's house."

A moment? What did he mean by a moment? I knew that if i asked him he wouldn't be able to go into much detail. Mina isn't exactly a talkative type of person.

-" Thank you Tony and I won't bother you again." I said and hung up.

I know I should ask Mina but she would never answer me. So the last logical answer would be....Liam himself. I had to forget I like this guy and go into "protect my friend" mode. Whatever he did at Lorrie's house had a big influence on her and not in a good way. I decided to see if I had any classes with him today. Yes! Biology, third period. Great. I'll be able to ask him then.

Biology, third period, 11:25 AM

I looked around the room and saw he was already in his seat. Usually Perry, the pretty popular mean girl, who literally looked like she came out of a cliche teen movie would sit next to him, but this time she would have to find somewhere else to do so. Not like I wanted to deal with her, but I had to do it for Mina. I sat next to him and watched as his expression transformed from calm to confused.

-"Ally? Why did you sit here? You know Perry will kill you right?" he said.

I'm usually not good at talking back to bitchy people, but I was willing to do it for Mina. If Perry wants to fight then so be it.

-" Listen I need to ask you something. Last night, when all the lights went out at Lorrie's house, you and Mina had like a moment. So what happend?"

He was surprised I know this information. I just hope he doesn't think that Mina was the one to share it with me.

-"Yeah we did. We just had a little moment of flirting back and forth with eachother. She was not the one i intended to take though. It was dark and I mixed up the person."

Ouch. Poor Mina. But wait..does that mean he meant to take me or Lorrie? I don't know how I should feel. Happy that there's a 50/50 chance Liam likes me or sad for Mina.

Whatever it was I had to obviously ask.

-" So who did you intend to tak-"

Suddenly i felt someone hit my shoulder with something.

-"Ah. Allison Bailey. What do you think you're doing in MY seat."

Great. It was Perry. This chick really thinks the whole world revolves around her. But I could never stand up to her so I just quietly said:

"Sorry Perry" and stood up.

How could I be this pathetic. What is wrong with me. I went back to where I usually sit and looked at Liam. He was just casually staring at the board. How could he look so charming while doing so. The only thing that concerned me was that popularity was getting to him. I didn't really speak to him before, but in the rare times that I did, he sounded so sweet. Now he gives off "I'm better than everyone" vibes. Of course he is still nice but something is off. Suddenly he looked back at me but I didn't look away. I was so deep in my thoughts that i hadn't even realized I was still staring at him. It was when he waved at me that i realized and looked away. Maybe he is still that sweet boy by heart. I guess popularity can't change everything.
