Chapter 3: Don't flatter yourself

Lorrie's POV
You already know how close me, Mina and Ally are. We go waaay back. So back, in fact, that none of us can remember when we met. The only thing we know for sure is that we were babies. From then on we have been in the same kindergarden, school.. basically everywhere together. And ever since we started school we would meet at this coffee house called "Nancy". Today was no exception. We ordered the usual. Mina ordered a cappuccino with extra cream, Ally ordered a light frappuccino and i ordered iced coffee with extra ice.
We would usually talk about normal stuff. Ally always had some new gossip to share. She is really sneaky for someone with social anxiety. But this time she had something else in mind.

-"Girls i have an exciting announcement."- she said.
She never refers to anything as exciting, not even the juiciest gossip out there. So hearing that word from her mean't that she's actually up to something.

-"Liam invited me to a party and said i could invite anyone i want"

-"WHAT. NO. YOU'RE LYING"- I screamed altogether.

-"Yeah he asked me at the end of first period."- Ally implied.

We were all gushing about it for a little and then Mina had to ruin the fun with her usual worries:

-"Girls I don't know if i can make it..I have a chemistry test next week. A really big one in fact."- Mina said disappointed.

-"You're joking. There's no way you're gonna miss LIAM's party over some test you can study for some other time."- Ally said in pure shock.

Although we were good friends, we all had our differences.

-"Not to mention it's chemistry we're talking about."- I added. "You open the book and bam, you're ready." I admit i was pretty good at chemistry without even trying.

Mina sat in silence for a moment. Probably deciding whether she should come or not.

-"Damn it. You guys know how to convience me."

-"YES!"-Ally screamed. " The party is this Saturday. It starts at 8 PM. The address is *****. DON'T be late." she added.

-"I'M SO EXCITED."- Mina screamed.

And so was I. The only problem is that we're all pretty unorganized so we need to have a plan in order to be on time and of course i brought that responsibility to myself.

"Ok here's the plan. Come to my house around 6 PM. We'll get ready and then walk to Liam's house since it's close."

I tried holding in the excitement of the fact that Liam turned out to live in MY neighborhood. I'm literally falling hard for him. Kinda gross hearing it even from my own mouth but it's true. I don't really like cheesy stuff but in this case It's a different story. The only problem is that Mina and Ally like him too. I know they won't directly admit it but i can feel it. I would always choose them over a boy of course. I'm just not sure they would.

Saturday, 19:00

I heard a knock on the door. Oh noo. Who could that possibly be? No I'm joking we all know who it is. They were both late though so i wasn't gonna take this easy on them. I open the door and- Beck. What the hell is he doing here.

-"Hello, beautiful."- he flirted.

-"Don't flatter yourself."- i replied. I felt so badass.

-" Are you going to Liam's party? If yes, we can pick you up if you want."- he smirked.

-"We?"- i asked.
What was he talking about? I was starting to get even more confused. That's when i noticed none other than Liam himself standing behind him. OH MY GOD. What was he doing at MY house. Then i remembered. Beck was always such a kiss ass. Of course he would befriend Liam the moment he got popular.

-"Oh."- i mumbled. "Well....for your information i AM coming. However I'm waiting for my friends. They were supposed to come here an hour ago, but they're running late so go without me."

-"No problem then"- Beck calmy said

Oooh i got away with that one. I wouldn't mind a ride from Liam, but from Beck... Just no.

-"We'll just wait for them then."- Beck said.
WHAT. LIAM AT MY HOUSE? I THINK I'M GONNA PASS OUT.

They both got in the house. It was so awkward. The three of us just stared at eachother repeatedly until i finally broke the silence.

-"Water anyone? Coke? Soda?"

-"Just some water, thank you."- Liam said. He is so kind and respectful. And it matches so well with his deep voice.

-"Of course"- I said and smiled. And guess what. He smiled back. Somebody pinch me.
I gave him water and five more minutes went by. Finally there was a knock on the door. It was Ally and Mina. They walked in and before i could tell them about the specific situation they froze. They didn't know how to react. Liam was looking at Ally, Beck was looking at Mina and then they switched. I had to try and break the silence.

-"Girls...! Beck and Liam are gonna give us a ride to the party!"

They sat in silence for a second and then Mina finally managed to mumble:

-"Can we talk to you for a second?"

-"Sure"- i said knowing this would make it even more awkward.

We went upstairs into my room. Suddenly they both jumped on me and Ally screamed:

"LORRIE YOU'RE THE BEST."

"SHH THEY WILL HEAR YOU."- Mina shushed her.

I took a deep breath and said:

"GUYS I DON'T KNOW HOW I ENDED IN THIS SITUATION-."

Suddenly all the lights stopped.....
