Chapter 14: Prison

Mina's POV

You have probably forgotten by now but let me help you. Two chapters ago these were Lorrie's words:

"I got in my house and just as I thought there would be no more worries in my head I suddenly remembered. Where was Mina? Why wasn't she at school? And most importantly why was she not answering her texts?"

And although you probably have payed zero attention to it, it plays a big role in the story.

So where was I?

The day I "went missing" according to Lorrie, I came up with a plan. I pretended to go to school infront of my parents, but instead, I just snuck into our garden and waited till they left for work.

After that I headed straight to the only prison close to town. I don't know what came on to me.

So what was I doing there? The night before I made my research about Tony's father. His name is John Lewiston. He is 51 years old and he worked as an engineer.

I wanted to pay him a visit and learn more.

-"JOHN YOU HAVE A VISITOR YOU BIG BASTARD!" - I could hear the policeman screaming.

I have never been in prison before but I must say it looked just like in the movies.

John was sitting at the other side of the glass wall, already holding the phone. When he saw me he was obviously surprised. He had no idea who I was.

-" Hello, sir. You might not know me but I'm a close friend of Tony's."- I introduced myself.

He looked at me with this "So what?" look. It was really awkward and after a few moments of silence I continued:

-"Well, uh, I just wanted to let you know that he is okay."

He nodded but it was barely visible. That man looked like he couldn't care less.

I was about to leave, but I couldn't help myself. I had to learn more. And so I added:

-" You are a very successful man. Being an engineer is not an easy job indeed. It takes years of training and of course intelligence. It is also well payed. So what happend? How did you end up here?"

He didn't look bored anymore. He looked rather surprised. I can only imagine what was going through his head. "How does she know what I work?!" and blah blah blah.

But he didn't ask any questions. Instead he just mumbled:

-"Why don't you go ask Liam."- and then the guards took him back to his cell.

Liam? What does Liam have to do with anything?

TIME SKIP

I was in trouble because I had missed school, but my parents got over it. The real important thing was to find Liam the next day and figure this out.

The next day

I

walked into school and immediately spotted Liam. He was not hard to notice since he was probably the most attractive dude in the whole school.

I was nearly running, trying to catch up to him when I heard someone call my name.

-"Mina! Where have you been?"- Ally asked.

-"Yeah, why weren't you answering your texts?"- Lorrie added.

I had no time to answer or I would risk losing Liam . So instead I quickly replied:
