Chapter Eleven

Your POV

I heard the door finally close behind them. Tom and Paddy left to go get lunch. What they didn't know is that I wasn't asleep the whole entire time they were watching tv. I kept falling in and out of sleep cause I have gotten to much sleep lately. I am always needing to rest to get better but I can't seem to stay asleep. I fell asleep for about half an hour and then I just kept my eyes closed for another half hour to try and go back to sleep but it didn't work. The whole time I laid there I could feel the weight of Tom's arm on my lower leg. It didn't bother me, and I don't really know exactly why. Eventually I heard Paddy and Tom talking about how they should go to get some lunch. I wasn't gonna say anything cause this was my chance to test Tom to see if I could trust him to actually take care of me and also not to do anything stupid in my apartment, while I'm sleeping.

I know it sounds weird but trust is a big issue for me even with the smallest things. After seeing how many trust issues my parents had together and after me and Drew, I just couldn't help but be careful. My Mom ended up raising me and my little sister alone after I turned 13. It was hard on all of us especially because she had no choice but to work a lot, leaving me in charge of myself and my little sister who is three years younger and is one of my best friends. I guess even though I put most of this behind me it still comes up in different areas of my life.

So whenever he was over besides the first time,  I wouldn't sleep and we would just do things together that required sitting, mostly like games and painting and such.

I pretended I was asleep the whole time before they left. I heard them get up after talking about lunch. One of them walking to the door as the other vibrated the floor with foot steps next to me as his weight got heavier on the floor kneeling down next to me. For a moment it was quiet, in that moment I felt his breath on me. I knew it was Tom because only he would get this close to me, between him and Paddy. His breath getting softer and shorter as he got closer. I felt a light, soft kiss on my forehead. I was surprised but had to stop myself from expressing it. It was followed by a light little touch on the side of my face with his finger moving my hair out of the way. This happened within seconds and was followed by Paddy calling Tom a lover boy while demanding that they get going.

As soon as I heard the door close I jumped up into a sitting position which really hurt but I couldn't help it. Covering my mouth with my hands, surprised at what just happened. How do I even react to this? I am pretty sure Tom Holland has a crush on me! Never in a million dreams did I ever think that this would actually happen. The one Man In this world that is the most kind, big hearted, and gentle guy I have ever met, is choosing me, right now.

Though I can't go down the same roads I've been already, but with him I don't think I would be afraid. I'm not sure if I want him to know yet that I know he kissed my forehead. I don't want to give him the pleasure of me wanting him like every girl under the age of 30 does. So i am going to lay back down and wait for them to come back with food. As soon as I hear the door knob turn I'll close my eyes and pretend like I'm sleeping.

Tom's pov

Me and Paddy got back with lunch. We got some cold sandwiches cause I remember that y/n likes a ham and cheese sandwich from the last time I was with her.

(You can imagine whatever sandwich you like or go with my fav which is ham and cheese. Great now I want one.)

I opened the door with the key she gave me. We walked in as Paddy started to put down and open all the boxes of food on the kitchen island table. I walked across the kitchen to see y/n still asleep on the couch in the living room. I gently nudged her to wake her for lunch. "Y/n.... it's time for lunch... wake up.." she started to move a little then she opened her eyes slowly to meet mine. She had these amazing big y/e/c eyes that were so warm, bright, and happy. She didn't say a word. She just got up with her blanket still wrapped around her and started walking towards Paddy and the food. I gently hovered my hands over her lower back so I could help her walk if necessary though she would probably reject the help. We all sat down and starting eating. "How was your sleep darling?" I looked into her eyes. She looked away at her sandwich answering me. "It was ok, I had a hard time staying asleep part of it but it definitely helped! Oh and uh thanks for this!"She held up her sandwich and then glanced over at Paddy. I wondered if she was awake when i kissed her forehead. I wasn't gonna ask though cause if she wasn't then I don't know if I would want her to know. "Your welcome, hope I got the right kind!" I knew I got the right kind I just wanted to make sure. "Yeah you did and um how much do I owe you?" She questioned me and Paddy. "Nothing, don't worry bout it." I smiled at her. "You do not get to pay for my food again Holland, how much?" She hit my arm lightly. "You know who I am?" I got nervous, what if the girl I thought was different wasn't at all? What if she was playing me?
