Chapter Twenty Seven

Tom's pov:

I watched as the nurse looked at Y/n's wound, waiting for her to say something. "I'm going to go get the doctor and I'll be back with some pads to keep it from bleeding until the doctor can fix the two stitches that came undone. I won't be long but make sure you keep her awake." The nurse rushed back out the door. I quickly walked back to Y/n and looked at her wound again. It was slowly bleeding a bit but the nurse covered it with the blanket and wrapped it around Y/n's waist tight enough to help kind of slow the bleeding even more. When I saw it before, i was to stunned seeing her blood that I didn't realize it was only a few small stitches that had opened up.

I was sitting on the edge of her bed , right next to Y/n while I was holding her hand. "How are you feeling darling?" I moved a little hair out of her face. "I'm— okay. Just really tired of all this." She slowly answered me. She looked exhausted and beaten up but I wasn't gonna tell her that because I didn't want to say such a thing when she shouldn't care what she looked like cause i didn't care and i just wanted her to heal. "You have to stay awake for me now okay? The doctor will be in to fix you up but you need to stay awake for me so everything turns out okay!" I rubbed her arm a bit trying to get her to look me in the eyes. "Okay I'll try, but I might need help." She looked up at me finally. "I wish I could kiss you right now but you need to breathe easy especially now. How about you tell me the first things you want to do as soon as you get better?" I kissed her forehead and she squeezed my hand. "Okay, like what exactly? Anything specific?" She asked quietly. "No nothing specific, just stuff you haven't been able to do lately that you can't wait to do, also keep squeezing my hand that's good cause it will help me make sure your awake!!" I smiled weakly at her.

"I'm not sure. I guess just being able to function normally and walking normal. I am excited to be able to do normal basic stuff on my own and not have everyone's eyes on me all the time!!" She laughed a little bit. She seemed to be moving and speaking a lot slower now. "I can't wait for that to!! I'll still come and have my eyes on you though, I don't think I can help it!" I laughed a bit more and then rubbed her arm up and down trying to make sure she was still awake. She was trying so hard to keep her eyes open but it looked like she was going to fall asleep any second. "Darling, please stay awake for me now!! Keep your eyes on me!!" I spoke a little louder.

"Okay Tom, I'll try... it's just so hard. I'm so tired." She started staring me in my eyes. "I know lovely but the Doctor will be in soon." I kissed her hand. Right as I was grabbing some water for Y/n, the Nurse walked in with a bunch of pads. "How are we doing in here? I am going to put these pads on her back to stop the bleeding." She walked fast over to Y/n and started gently putting the pads on. Y/n was half awake, barely holding on to consciousness. She was okay but she has lost to much blood from her surgery and now this. "I don't think Y/n can hold on any longer. I know it was just a few stitches but she's lost to much blood from her surgery and now this!" I gave the nurse a very concerned look.

"Ok, what I need you to do is come behind her right where I am and gently put pressure on these pads on her lower back. I will run and go get the doctor. We will have to do it right here because there's no point taking her back because she's to weak to be put under. I'll be back with Her as fast as I can!" She left me sitting on a chair while holding the pads with a slight bit of pressure on Y/n's lower spine area. I could see her one bare hip as it was slightly showing as the blanket and hospital gown were moved for the Pads to absorb all the blood. I had almost forgotten that Y/n was still awake. I thought she had fallen asleep and I was worried. She wasn't saying anything. "Y/n how are you doing over there?" I couldn't see her face.

"Tom..... What are you.. doing?" She slowly answered back. "I'm holding some pads up to your back love, so you don't bleed anymore. The Doctor will be coming soon to help you." I kept the gentle pressure on her back. There wasn't to much blood but I could see a little bit coming through on the pads. "Please tell me... how bad is it?" I could hear her trying to hold back tears. "It's..... well.. darling it's not good to say the least, but it's not horrible." I try not to alarm her. "Tom I- I can't do this anymore. I'm so exhausted and I just want to be able to move again and walk normal again and I may never be able to do that." She started crying. I felt a few tears roll down my cheeks. I could hear her starting to have a hard time breathing because she was crying and getting worked up.
