I stand at the bathroom mirror running my brush gently through my hair when I feel hands take it from me. "Let me try." Kylian appears behind and I stare at him in the mirror.
Shivers runs down my spine as he begins to move the brush through my hair, and I smile to myself as the concentration on his face grows stronger.
His tongue pokes out a little over his plump lips and the usual sparkle in his brown eyes gleams as he focuses on what he is doing to my hair.
We have been given a day off today because Pochettino believes that everyone deserves it despite it only just being the winter break. So Kylian is making the most of it, his family are all coming round for a Sunday roast but on a Monday.
He seems really excited, however I'm really nervous to meet his family, it's only the morning and my hands get sweaty just thinking about it.
Sam is at school and I will pick him up later. He too, like Kylian, is looking forward to meeting the footballer's family also mainly because Kylian's little brother is coming and he can play FIFA with the boy.
I stop Kylian from brushing my hair and begin to scoop my it up into a bun but his hands push mine back down. "Don't put it up, I like it when you have your hair down," His fingers play with the ends and I gaze up at him my cheeks a light shade of pink. "You're so cute when you get embarrassed." His thumb brushes my bottom lip and he cups my face, a small smile playing on his lips.
I giggle at his words before I pull away from his hold. "What should I wear tonight? I don't want to look like a tart, but I don't want to look like a box."
"You, Olivia, could never look like a box." He pulls me back in hands holding my waist.
"I am being serious, I don't want your parents to think I am some slag..."
"Oi, don't think like that, my mum and dad are going to love you."
"God, listen to us, we sound like we are in a relationship." I laugh but Kylian just looks at me seriously causing my smile to drop.
He rubs the back of his neck and takes a step away from me biting his lip. "Yeah, errr I am gonna go and sort out the playstation and stuff for Ethan and Sam." He leaves the bathroom and I frown to myself sensing a sudden change of mood in Kylian
Did I say something wrong?
I stroll around the garden, my hands chilly from the cold wind that waves through. I am on my own a destroyed football under my feet as I trod along the well-trimmed grass. Then I notice a garden swing, vines weaving in and out the light, wooden frame.
I bring the ball over to it and sit down.
It creaks a little under my weight and I gently swing myself back and forth slightly, the swaying making me feel calmer.
Everything that has happened has overwhelmed me, most of it affecting me in a negative way and some in a sort of positive way.
Well, the only positives being that my brother is now the happiest he has ever been and the other is Kylian.
"Hey." A deep voice calls out and I turn my head towards a boy holding a duvet in his hands and he appears to be trying to bite back a grin.
"Hello." I smile at him as he sits next to me, he wraps the duvet around us tightly and warmth spreads through me.
Silence.
I enjoy the closeness that me and Kylian share, moments like these make me want to pull him closer and have him hold me and kiss me like he did the other night.
Two times we have kissed, I can tell you that, that means that we have to be something more.
I do have feelings for Kylian, whether it is love or not I do not know. But the way he makes me feel gives me high hopes that maybe this boy next to me could be the one.
However, I think that if something isn't done about us soon then my hope gets smaller and smaller for the two of us.
A wash of courage takes over me and I shift next to him more our legs now touching. His arm snakes around my shoulders and tugs the duvet more around us protecting us from the sudden gust of wind that whips through my hair.
His fingers flatten my hair and tuck some of it behind my ear. "Your hair is going everywhere." Kylian chuckles.
"So is yours...oh wait." I tease ruffling the little stubs of curly hair that decorate his head.
"Oi you..." He grabs my hand and pushes it back down away from his head, he smiles clearly amused by my petty teasing.
My smile falls off my face as he stares into my green eyes and he edges even closer. "God you are so beautiful." He breaths and I go bright red from his words.
"Errr...I dunno what to say." I bite my lip and he traces my upper thigh with his hand whilst not removing his eyes from mine.
My breath goes shaky at this touch. "You don't have to say anything." He presses his lips against mine and I grin against his lips.
It is happening all over again.
Kylian puts a hand in my hair, his fingers getting caught in a couple of strands and it pulls my head back a little. Which to my surprise causes a small grunt to escape from my mouth.
He chuckles against me and I pull away feeling embarrassed from what just happened. "What?" I try to laugh it off but I know that Kylian has found my moment of weakness amusing.
"Nothing."
Silence again settles between us as we hold each other, the two of us not daring to look away.
"Kylian," I begin, my voice quiet and there is a hint of nervousness in my tone. He nods encouraging me to go on with what I am about to say. "What are we?"
