I stirred in my sleep as someone poked my cheeks.
"Mmm...no!" I whined sleepily pulling the blanket over my face and the poking stopped. Peace!
I thought it would last longer but no, I felt the blanket being pulled down exposing my face and neck and sensed feather-like kisses being placed on my neck. I smiled knowing only one person would do this to me; Aiden.
"Hey Dimpu, wake up." He said poking my dimples this time making me grin in my sleep. Even though he gave me the nickname dimple-gal, I personally like Dimpu more because it would be so weird if he or anyone called me dimple-gal in public. I do let him call me that sometimes, but I prefer Dimpu.
"Why do you have to ruin my sleep?" I asked groggily, stretching my arms and limbs.
"Because..." He shrugged.
"Because...what?"
"Just because" he said while smirking. I groaned and fell back on my bed.
"Now, I wouldn't do that if I were you." He said with mock seriousness.
"Why?" I asked, looking at him with curious eyes.
"Because, I wouldn't want cold water to be poured on me." He said with an evil smirk and my eyes widened with horror.
"You would not do that to me... would you?" I pleaded. Who would want to have cold water thrown on them in this chilly weather? Not me.
"Nah! I wouldn't but Susan would." I look more horrified now cause I know mom wouldn't hesitate to pour cold water on me. I still remember how she once woke me up by threatening to pour cold water. I underestimated her first, only to open my eyes and see her holding the bucket filled with ice water. If I hadn't woken up then, I would have been drenched in cold water.
I quickly got up from my bed and shouted, "I'm up! I'm up!" thinking mom's outside the door, ready with a bucket filled with cold water to throw on me and peeked at the door from where I was standing.
Aiden was laughing his butt off when I jumped out of the bed.
"Your mom's not there, kia." He said still laughing and I groaned, partially embarrassed by my behaviour and partially frustrated that I had to get out of my bed.
"Now, quickly get freshened up and then let's go eat breakfast." Aiden motioned for me to go to the bathroom. I did as he said and quickly freshened up. I came out of the bathroom to find Aiden laying on my bed and scrolling through his phone.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him as I applied moisturiser on my face.
"Waiting for you." He said casually.
"Were you waiting for me the whole time I was cleaning up?" I was surprised.
"Yeah, I just thought I'll wait for you to get ready and then we'll go downstairs together." He replied.
~~~
I gasped as I stood at the bottom stair with Aiden. The whole house was decorated with Christmas items. The Christmas tree sat at the corner and fairy lights hung on it. Every corner of the house had some kind of decoration giving the feels of Christmas. This was the last thing on my mind today and never did I expect it to be this decorated today. I wonder when they got the time to decorate the house.
"Wow, this is amazing. When did you get the time to do all this?" I asked, still standing on the bottom stair, gawking at my parents.
"We just thought today was the best day to relieve you of all your problems for a while. I don't want my kid to be sad on such a beautiful day." Dad said and a large smile appeared on my face. This is why I adore my parents. They will do whatever they can to make me happy.
"Thank you so much dad and mom. Also Merry Christmas." I greet them while hugging.
"Okay now settle down for breakfast and then we have to open our Christmas presents too." Mom hollered from the kitchen. I looked beneath the tree to find Christmas presents already there.
"Um...I'll quickly keep my gifts under the tree and come." I say and run upstairs. I open my cupboard and find all of my friend's presents wrapped prettily. I immediately feel my mood dampen thinking about my friends. They must be so disappointed in me. I had wanted our Christmas to be joyful and memorable, but yesterday's event has made it impossible for both me and them.
"What's taking you so long?" I hear Aiden asking and I look at my door to see him standing there.
"We had our presents ready days before Christmas, and now neither me nor they can celebrate it the way we wanted." I voice out my inner thoughts.
Aiden walks in further and looks at the presents I'm staring at and realisation flickers through his eyes. "Don't you worry Kia, you will spend your Christmas just the way you had planned."
"But how? All my friends must hate me now knowing I cheated on you." I mumbled.
"Kia. Firstly, you didn't cheat on me; that asshole forced himself on you. Secondly, our friends are not idiots. They'll come around once they know what happened. So, leave all your worries for later and enjoy today."
"But what if our friends don't believe me? After all, I don't have proof to make them believe in me."
"They will. I'll be there with you no matter what, so don't overthink. And now I'm starving." He pouts and I give him a smile.
"Let's go then, we don't want rats jumping in your stomach; now do we?" I mock him as I drag him to the kitchen with me.
Heya!!
So, I'm back from writing my finals. Phew!
Don't think I'll upload regularly now, coz I'm one lazy bitch. This Co-vid and lockdown made me into one actually and ik you all can relate to it.
Who all wants a guy like Aiden in their life? I definitely want someone like him. Someone who trusts me enough to believe in me even though it's hard to in some situations. But I really hope women don't take advantage of that trust. I mean us women are no less nowadays...don't you agree?
Also, Ik the name of this chapter is kinda lame but bear with it...hehe!
Anyways! The next chapter will be in Aiden's P.O.V
Be ready!
