After hanging out, the girls came to my house to get ready while the boys went to theirs. They'd be here to pick us at 7:30pm as the party started at 8:15pm.
"Momma, I'm home" I called out to my mom.
"Okay Sweetheart....oh you've brought your friends. Hey girls!" She said cheerfully while coming out of the kitchen.
"Hi! Mrs. Jones" Carrie and Julie greeted mom together. "Please call me Susan" my mom said.
"Okay Susan, we'll be in Kiara's room" Carrie said.
"Oh...come on introduce yourself now." Mom says smiling.
"Momma, she is Carrie and she is Julie" I said pointing at each one of them.
"Okay then, call me if you need anything," mom sayid and continued her work.
We reached my room and started rummaging through my closet. "What to wear?" I asked them.
Carrie chose our outfit for the party. She chose a red spaghetti strap top, blue jeans, and a black leather jacket for me.
A black strapless crop top and black shorts for Julie and a maroon spaghetti strap satin crop top with a black high waist skirt for herself, and we all wore black boots with our outfits. After wearing our dresses, we put on some make-up, wore our boots and went down to the couch to wait for the boys. "Kia are you going somewhere?" My mom asked.
"Yeah mom, I'm going to a party that some guy of our school is hoisting," I told her as she went to her kitchen before shouting, "okay, but be home by 10pm."
"Noted momma." I respond her.
The boys reached few minutes later wearing casual jeans and t-shirt.
We stepped out of my house and got in the car. After about 20 minutes we reached the house. Music could be heard from inside and few people were already passed out in the lawn.
"Let's party girls!" the boys shouted in unison as they kept their hands on our shoulders. We moved through a lot of sweaty bodies grinding each other or making out. There were ton number of people here. We slowly made it to the kitchen. The kitchen was less crowded.
"Let's drink and then hit the dance floor." Julie sayid and we nodded, the boys already parted ways in the entrance. I usually don't drink so I settled for a lemonade. Suddenly, I felt hot breath fanning my neck.
"You don't drink...huh?" Said the person behind me. I turned around to be met by the same chocolate brown eyes; Aiden Oliver. I stared at him standing with a smirk on his face before pushing him aside and going to the girls, having no mood to talk to him.
"What was Aiden doing with you?" Carrie asked and I shrugged. They left the matter and dragged me to the dance floor. We danced for about an hour and then I excused myself for some fresh air.
"Why all alone here pretty girl?" A drunk guy camesm to me and asked. When I didn't reply he moved closer to me and snaked his hand to my waist. "let go!" I tried to push him but he didn't budge. He came more close to me and smirked saying "feisty...I like it" and leaned in. I struggled to get out of his grip as he was trying to kiss me.
"She said let go!" I heard someone say and push the guy off me. I looked at him for a second before realizing it was Aiden. He punched him in the jaw and the guy fell. Aiden looked at me and asked "you okay?" I nodded, he came to me and sat down on the bench.
"Thank you." I told him, he nodded his head.
"You're pretty nice for a player," I started a conversation. He looked at me and asked, "who said I'm a player?" confusion written on his face.
This made me confused and I said, "but everyone says that and you were being a jerk to me." I mumbled the last part.
He looked at me for a minute, his eyes staring right into me before saying, "are you so naive to believe what others say?" I thought about it and it seemed pretty true that I believed what others told me cause other than being a jerk to me, I haven't seen him with any girl yet. "I'm not naive, it's just you behaved to me like that and also..." I tried my best to defend myself.
I think he was drunk cause he started laughing rather than getting angry so I had to ask, "are you drunk?" He shook his head trying to control his laughter. "You are so naive," he said again.
"I'm not" I argued back"You are"
"I'm not"
"You are"
"Okay, maybe I am a little." I say giving up on him, "but this doesn't prove that you are not a player" I said as I wiggled my eyebrows.
"Oh...you just don't know me...actually now that I think about it no one knows me the right way," he said tapping his chin with his finger.
"Really?....they see you everyday at school flirting with girls and all and you say you are not a player?" I scoffed.
"Who told you that I flirt with girls?...I've never flirted its just that girls can't keep their hands off me" he shrugged while saying.
"And you let them" I finished his sentence. He shook his head in denial.
"You don't?" I asked him and he shook his head again.
"Well prove it to me then." I challenged him, he calmly accepted the challenge and told me "you know...no one knows me better" shaking his head repeatedly.
"Huh? What doe-" I was asking Aiden what does that mean but got interrupted.
"Hey! Kia what are you doing there?" Daniel asked, I shake my head and go towards him while Aiden was still mumbling something.
"Nothing, I was just taking some fresh air." I told him and he nodded his head, we walked towards the car since others are already settled in.
After the party I said goodbyes to my friends and came home to see that all the lights were off. I went to my room making sure to wake no one up on the process.
I took a shower and got ready for bed. It was a long day for me, but I was unable to sleep. My mind drifted back to the conversation I had with Aiden, it was bugging me. I felt there was more to him. With that thought, I was finally asleep.
