My First Ever Love

Ch-6, Back to School

I spent my weekends lying in my bed all day. I was too lazy to do anything.

Now, I was back to school waiting for Carrie beside my locker. "Kia!! My buddy" she screamed and hugged me. I smiled and ask, "what has gotten into you?...you seem very happy today," to this she reply, "I have great news, I'll tell you in the break with the others."

She took her books from the locker and started moving to the class. We had our class with the same old teacher who wore crooked glasses, I yet had to know his name. The class was boring, I had to force myself to not fall asleep. Soon the bell rang and we got to our second class.

After one more class it was our break, I was curious as to what news did Carrie have, so I eagerly went to the cafetaria and waited for others to join.

"So guys, I have a good news and that is.....Blake asked me out in the morning" she announced her good news and squealed. "Really?....Blake as in Blake Walter?" Julie asked widening her eyes before squealing.

On the other hand I was confused as to who Blake was. They must have noticed my lack of enthusiasm cause Carrie asked, "Kia aren't you happy that Blake asked me out" she asked furrowing her eyebrows. I shook my head and said," it's not that I'm not happy for you, the problem is that I don't know any Blake guy." They all laughed at my confession. "There is nothing to laugh about, it's only my second day here. What do you expect from me?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

They told me that Blake was one of Aiden's best friend and he had never dated a girl before. He being the player, he bangs the girl and leaves her. I nod in understanding, a bit worried for Carrie after listening to their description about Blake.

After all the classes were over, I was super exhausted and wanted to go home as soon as possible. I bid bye's to my friend and left the school gate.

I was not too far from school when someone taps on my shoulder. I turn around to be met by Aiden.
"Hey!" He greets. "Hi!" I greet back. He walks beside me in silence. I glance at him through the corner of my eye to find him staring at me.

"What?" I ask him, "you really don't know...do you?" He asks, amusement in his voice. I look at him confused, "am I supposed to be knowing something?" I ask, he nods his head "I hope you remember that you challenged me yesterday." As soon as he say that, my bulb lights "ah....that, of course I remember" I say smirking.

"Well...if you do know then tell me how am I supposed to prove you?" he asks folding his arms under his chest. "Um....let me think," I say tapping my chin, "yes got it....you will have to let me roam with you for a month so that, I get to know the real you." I said.

He thought for a moment and then agreed. "Okay then....see you tomorrow." I said and started going on my way. "Hey Kiara!" Aiden calls, I turn around raising my eyebrow. "What will I get if I prove you wrong?" He asks, "I'll change what people think about you being a player" I reply. "How?" He asks, I shrug and continue moving.

Thank god, he didn't have a snarky remark. I mean the conversation went smooth.

I'm in my house, bored out of my mind when mom suggests me to take a walk and come.

I'm getting ready for a walk now.
I wear my sneakers and go down, "momma, I'm going" I tell her and go out.

I keep on walking, after a while I get tired so, I sit down under a tree in the park, looking at children playing and people walking around.

Then, I lay down on the grass, admiring the sky before the sunset. Orange red in colour, it calms me down, slowly all the sound disappearing.

I feel something wet on me so I open my eyes to find it's drizzling. 'The weather forecast always betray me' I think and get up from the ground. On the way it started raining heavily which caused me to run fast. I reached home panting completely drenched in water.

"Kia, why are you wet?" Momma asks as soon as I enter the house.
"It started raining suddenly, I had no choice." I shrug and go to my room to freshen up.

After eating dinner, I go up to my room and start doing my assignment. Few minutes later, I get frustrated and start writing random answers to finish the work. I was never brilliant in studies but I wasn't bad either. I keep aside my assignment and lay down in my bed. Suddenly getting excited about tomorrow. How will it be to roam with them even though I hate players, I feel different about him.

What? No no you can't think like that.

"Oh god! What's with me thinking about Aiden?" I groan. I need to keep my excitement under control I guess.

Let's see if I can contact my besties. I thought and opened my skype. Ugh!! What happened why aren't they online. I waited for few more minutes. Frustrated, I closed my laptop and went to sleep.
