"Kiara! Kiara! We're running late for the flight. Are you awake yet?" Yelled my mom. She waited for my reply, but will she get one when I'm in my dreamland? Nah.
Well....I was still in my dreamland when my mom opened the door of my room.
"Kiara!! Are you planning to move yourself from the bed or should I pull you out?"
"Oh! come on, don't shout I know you love me," I said while smiling. Still in my dreamland unaware of my mom. Yeah! I was crazy for not waking up when my mom called for me the first time.
"Okay so you ask for this" my mom pulled the blanket off and started pulling me by my hand.
My eyes fluttered open from the pain. My mom heaved a sigh, "at last you are awake. Now go freshen up fast or else, we'll be late for our flight." With that said, she left the room.
I sighed and got up from my bed rubbing my arms that my mom pulled a while ago and got up to clean myself. After bathing, I went for a black skinny jeans and a white tank top, applied a little foundation and lip balm. I put on my white sneakers and got down to the kitchen.
I sat on the kitchen counter as my mom set a plate of scrambled egg in front of me.
Once done with the breakfast, we started putting our luggage in the taxi. While my mom and I were doing so, I spotted my friends Lila and Jonah coming towards me. They both stopped when they reached me and enveloped me in a breath-taking hug.
"Can't...breathe" I gasped for air.
"Sorry!" They both said together, as they smiled sheepishly.
"Well it's not our fault you are leaving and we won't be able to meet you." Lila said and Jonah nodded his head in agreement.
"Don't worry, we can skype anytime...right?" I reminded them
"Kia we're getting late!" my mom yelled from the taxi. We said our goodbyes for the last time before making my way to the taxi.
"Try not to miss me" I teased them.
"Yeah! Yeah! Whatever" Jonah said while smiling.
I placed myself in the taxi and drove away to the airport. After reaching the airport and settling in the plane, I only had one thought that I would miss my friends and Florida.
"Bye Bye Florida" I mumbled to myself before drifting off to sleep.
