It's been a hard few days, not being able to share what's being going on with my work study. It seemed the others were struggling to, this waiting sucked. We were in the gym climbing up a rock wall that almost reached the ceiling. Everyone involved with the Eri case seemed to have a new found determination. We all climbed it quicker than the others. Katsuki screamed at us to tell him what we knew but we all just looked at each other. Kirishima responded to his pleas with an apology that we couldn't talk about it.

I think the hardest part about not talking about it with those that know about it. I wanted to speak with Izuku the most, every time we made eye contact. We nodded to each other. I'm not sure if it was for encouragement or just to acknowledge that we were both ready for the upcoming operation. Every time my phone would alert me. I'd rip it out of my pocket so fast to see if they'd found Eri. Over these past few days, it's been even more frustrating and heartbreaking than ever before. Every fiber of my body was ready. I kept hearing Eri in my head from that day. Having her in my arms, her gripping my clothing, and when I let her go. I wish I had, had more courage to take her with me. To go against my upper class men and run away with her.

"Scarlet? You haven't touched your food," I suddenly came out of my deep thoughts and realized I was eating in the cafeteria with Shoto. "Ah! Well!" I cleared my throat and picked up my chopsticks. "I was waiting for it to cool!" I smiled at him. "You've been gloomy for days now, so has Izuku. I assume it's because of your work study," I swallowed some food hard. "Hm no that's strange. Maybe its the weather, it's supposed to rain soon. Isn't it?" Before Shoto could answer, down the table a few chairs. Izuku and Lida were talking when suddenly Izuku broke into tears. Lida started to freak and Izuku started to wipe his tears. Seeing him cry made me tear up a bit. Shoto tried to comfort me but I retracted my hand from him.

"If I accept your coddling, I'm going to burst into tears. So please accept my apology for not taking your hand. I don't want to cry," it was basically too late though as I wiped some of my own tears. Shoto placed some of his soba and his milk carton on my tray. "Here, make sure to eat and drink plenty. I worry you're not getting enough," i sniffled and collected myself. "Thank you," I ate only a fourth of the food, mostly for Shoto. Class was a good distraction for the most part but I found myself getting lost in thought back to that faithful day.

The last class of the day was dismissed, I looked out the window. "Ready to go?" Shoto's soft voice called to me. "Hmm?" I turned to him. "Oh! Yeah, let's go," we walked together like most days. But Shoto pulled me to a different direction. "Shoto?" He smiled and ushered me along with him. We walked for a good five minutes. I didn't really recognize the area. "Where are we—," he put his finger to my lips. "Just be patient, we're almost there," we rounded a corner and it looked to be a neon lit building. He lead me inside, machines were everywhere making all kinds of noises.

"I figured you've never been to an arcade before," i frowned my brow. "An arcade? I'm not sure I know what that is," he took me to a table in the corner, it seems they serve snack food here. "Arcades have a bunch of games. They usually have pinball, shooting, or beat 'em up games. It's a lot of fun and don't worry! I'm not good at the games so you won't be embarrassed if you're not doing so well!" He smiled brightly. "A-alright I'll give it a try," he took my hand and we went to a coin dispenser. He placed some money and golden coins came out. "You use these special coins to play the machines," I nodded and let him choose the first one. He lead me to a racing one, where you sat down and had actual steering wheels. I crashed my car many times but I still had loads of fun trying to bump into Shoto's car. "When's the last time you were at an arcade?" He tilted his head in thought as we looked around for another game to try.

"Actually my first time ever was right before school started. You know endeavor would never allow me to do any sort fun activities. It was always training from him. Well as I guess a small rebellion, I came in here and spent the entire day. I wasn't as terrible at the games as you are," he gave me a smirk and laughed as I gently punched his arm. "You're so mean!" I whined. "I'm just joking, it's nice to see you having some fun," we stared at each other for a moment. "Oh! There!" He pointed to a machine with very muscular people drawn on the side of it. "This is one of those fighting games! I can show you some combos I found!" I frowned my brow. "Combos?" He smiled at me and taught me all he knew about the game. Shoto was really good at it, all I could do was just mash every button and hope something cool happened. One time I actually made something happen and I got really excited but couldn't replicate what I had done.
