Either Me or Him

Chapter 6

Our rehearsals are in full swing and things are getting better every day. But in the first practices things were very tense between us, because Kelly spoke the essentials with me and with Michelle she was still the same sweet person as always, but also, Chelle never gave her reasons to act differently than that, the only one who made a mistake here was me.
But I can't even complain, the fact that she accepted the proposal was already a big step! Not to mention that, after the second week of heavy rehearsals, we have been talking to each other better, sometimes I make some jokes and she laughs at me, in other situations she shares with me directly some ideas she had (before she passed them on to Michelle and I was in the background). One day she called Tenitra over to get something to eat after rehearsal and Chelle said that she had invited me to go with them and, to my surprise, she did not complain.
This improvement has been significant for me and I couldn't be happier...

Today is Friday and I had the idea to give us the weekend off as we have been rehearsing without a break on the weekends for two consecutive weeks.  So I guess it won't be bad news...
I will leave it until after today's rehearsal to talk to them.
Now we have just arrived at the studio and today it is Kelendria's and Michelle's turn to rehearse the songs for their album and I will just be following along to see if everything is ok and even do some finishing touches to my performance.
Once everything was ready, Kelly, myself and the entire team sat down to enjoy Chelle's performance. She sang "We Break The Dawn" and then "If We Had Your Eyes".

When she finished her performance of her songs, we started to cheer for the beautiful performance.

"- Wow... You killed it, sis!" Kelly said as she gave her a hug.

"- You were magnificent, Chelle! I loved your work..."

"- Thank you, sisters! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now it's our Kells' turn..."

I was looking forward to her presentation and honestly, I knew something good was coming.
"- Michelle is right, now it's your turn to share some of that talent with us."  I said with a silly smile on my face.

Kelly gave a shy smile as she took the microphone to sing her new hit, "Forever And A Day", it was an upbeat and danceable song. She rocked everyone with her amazing voice, her dancing style, and her sweet smile while singing (I thought it was so cute). After the end of this song she signaled to the band and then made an introduction before starting to sing the next song.

"- This song I'm going to sing now is called 'Broken'. I wrote it when I went through a moment where I felt broken and recently I had the opportunity to be working on it for my new album.  I hope you guys like it. " she said.

When Kelly said this I immediately felt my heart sink, because I am sure that I am connected to the creation of this song. But come on, I need to hear this song.
Then she began to sing:
