Abby stepped completely into the glare from the street light so Hall could see her properly.

"Well," Hall started with false politeness, "You look...different. You were blonde the last time I saw you. And...have you lost weight?" He asked with a coy smirk.

She coughed once. "Well, it's been a stressful few weeks."

"Well then I guess the words you're looking for are probably 'Thank you'".

"Cut the bullshit, Hall. I think this would be a lot smoother for the both of us if we just cut to the chase, or rather, cut that part out, huh?" Abby retorted rhetorically.

"Agreed. Although, I was rather enjoying it."

"I do admit, I did think it would be a bit more dramatic than this." Abby had to fight a smile.

"What?"

"Oh I'm sorry, have I misunderstood? Is this not the part where you kill me?"

"Kill you. HA! Dear girl, this isn't even the part where we 'kidnap' you. No no this is just a catch up between two friends. Just to see what the other has planned. So, tell me, what's going on with you?" Hall placed his hands on top of each other and cupped them under his chin.

"Bit childish."

"Well that's just mean." He said, his voice pretending to break. But as quickly as his voice changed to his playful tone, he switched back to his usual pretentious one. "I know you've got Lawrence out of prison."

Abby kept her facial expressions neutral. "I see you managed that all on your own."

"Well, I'm a grown up."

"I know what you're after, and I haven't got it, Hall."

"Strange, now I thought that would be a bit more dramatic. I'm sure you agreed with your team not to disclose that information to me?"

Abby hung her head. Not only had she endangered herself incredibly (well more than she already had done just by talking to Hall) but she had lied to her team, disobeyed a direct order from Hotch and put a big price on Lawrence's head, therefore putting her team in imminent danger.
