A/N: Omg I can't believe my story is ranked 7th in the category of Swan Lake?? How did this happen holy cow!!
N E ways, back to the story :).
As Yeosang turned around, he was face to face with the most beautiful man he'd ever seen his life. Okay, he had obviously seen beautiful girls, there were plenty around in the village, like Yeji, Lia or Dahyun. And he obviously had seen handsome men, because there were many of them around too, like Tae's friend Yeonjun, or Soobin, who he even had a crush on back in their childhood. But this man was actually beautiful. The only boy who could be prettier than him was probably Hwang Hyunjin from the village, but considering that Hyunjin wasn't literally glowing like this man, he couldn't win over him. Wait... glowing?
Yes, the man standing in front of Yeosang was glowing. He was also floating about a meter above the ground. After all the weird things that happened that day, Yeosang wasn't even that surprised by this. The man was wearing a light purple colored long coat with similar colored shirt underneath and a darker shade pair of pants. His hair was black and wavy and almost covered one of his eyes and his face was really handsome. He also had a crown with crystals in it, and a magic wand in the same lilac color and a diamond. He was breathtaking.
'Did you see?!' asked the unicorn again excitedly. The gorgeous man chuckled.
'Yes, I saw.'
'What are you talking about? Who is this? Is it a ghost?' Yeosang took a step and poked the man's stomach, expecting to touch nothing but the air. He was surprised when he touched an actual body. 'Oh, I'm sorry.'
'No problem' said the man totally unbothered. 'By the way, we were talking about the crystal.'
'Oh, this?' Yeosang showed the crystal. 'I swear I'm not a thief, I wanted to put it back, I just wanted to help... well, him' he gestured towards the unicorn, who was talking to himself while jumping around them.
'Don't worry. The crystal is now yours' said the magical man in his deep voice. Yeosang stared back at him again.
'You're beautiful' he blurted out and blushed. 'Omg sorry I didn't mean to say that out loud. But... who are you again? And why is this thing mine?'
'Oh, my bad' rushed the unicorn between them. 'Let me introduce you our forest's Fairy King, Park Seonghwa' he looked at the magical man. The man bowed his head towards Yeosang, who still couldn't help staring. This man was actually a fairy.
'F-fairies don't exist' he stuttered the first thing that came to his mind.
'Well I'm here' Seonghwa landed elegantly on the ground and stopped glowing. 'What's your name?'
'I-I'm Yeosang. Kang Yeosang. It's a pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty' he clumsily bowed. Seonghwa chuckled.
'Please call me Seonghwa. No need for formalities, we are between ourselves in this forest.'
'What is this place? And what about this crystal?'
'The crystal chose you. You are the Chosen One.'
'Pardon, what?' Yeosang almost laughed out loud. He must've hit his head some time in the morning and that's why he is hallucinating all this bullshit. 'I think you mixed me up with someone.'
'Legend has it that the Chosen One, who is also the only one who can take the crystal out of its place, will save the forest and defeat Rothbart!!' said the unicorn as he started jumping around Yeosang. 'And you just took the stone! You are the Chosen One! We've been waiting for you!'
'Calm down, Mingi' laughed Seonghwa. 'But yes, that's true.'
'He is the Chosen One?' asked a small voice. Yeosang saw animals appearing behind Seonghwa. A hedgehog, a badger, a deer and a small bird to be exact. He didn't feel surprised when he realized that the hedgehog was talking. Like what even is that compared to a unicorn and a real fairy?
'Who is Rothbart?' he asked instead. Seonghwa looked back at him.
'Rothbart is my brother. He used to live here in the forest with us. But when our uncle had to choose his heir, the chose me. This made Rothbart mad and ever since then, he's been practicing dark magic with his child, Omen. The legend says that only the Chosen One can defeat him with the help of the crystal.'
'Okay, this is getting too much' Yeosang took a step back. 'You are telling me I'm the one who is supposed to save this place which I didn't even knew exists from a fairy's evil brother and his evil child with the help of a stone? Oh my god, wake up, Yeo' he whispered, closed his eyes and pinched his arm. He opened his eyes again, but the others were still there.
'There must be a misunderstanding and I'm probably not the one you're waiting for. I just took this thing to cut the rope to save... Mingi?' he held the crystal up and looked at the unicorn.
'Yeees I'm Mingi!!!'
'Mingi was in danger??' the small deer shouted and started circling around Mingi.
'No, he wasn't' sighed Seonghwa looking done with his... friends? Animals? Who knows. 'He just got stuck and Yeosang saved him.'
Yeosang held the crystal out to Seonghwa, who sadly took it.
'I'm sorry. My family is looking for me' he said and took one last sad glance at the animals who were looking back at him with big eyes. 'I'm sorry' he whispered again and hurried to the direction he came from.
'Now what?' asked the small bird in a small voice. Seonghwa took it in his hands carefully.
'Don't worry, guys. If he is the Chosen One, he'll come around. Mingi?'
'You really believe he is special, right?' asked Mingi. Seonghwa nodded, looking in the direction Yeosang disappeared. 'Song Mingi to your service, Your Majesty~' bowed Mingi and rushed after Yeosang. 'I'll try my best!'

A/N 2.0: Typing and proofreading this I realized something I wanted to mention. In the original story, Rothbart had a daughter named Odile. In my version I changed her name to a gender neutral name I found so everyone can decide what gender they imagine the evil, so it's totally up to you :)
