"Do you not think it's a little soon for you guys to be getting back together?" Cassie asked from nail station beside me.
"I mean, nothings official right now but I don't think it's too soon," I mumbled as I thought over what she had asked.
After the small kiss me and Ash shared the other night we didn't really speak further on the whole 'more than friends' thing, which I was thankful for since I had way too many conflicted feelings in the moment. As much as I want to hold off rushing back into a relationship, I couldn't deny how happy I was to hear Ashtray's birthday wish.
"Bitch what are you talking about that it's not official? You're literally getting his initial on your nails," Maddy laughed.
I glanced down at my hands as the nail tech added the gold A onto my index nail before looking over at Maddy and holding up my other wrist, "Okay and..?Are you forgetting I literally have it tattooed already?"
"I'm not saying anything bad about it! I don't even like Ashtray that much but it's obvious you guys are soulmates. If anything you guys are just longing this out, you should already be back together in my opinion," Maddy shrugged.
"Well thanks both of you for your input, I'll make sure to take it into consideration," I spoke sarcastically, just trying to end the conversation. As much as I loved the girls, I really didn't think either of them were in the positions to give relationship advice.
Before either of them could respond my phone started ringing. With my free hand I grabbed it and saw Ashtray's contact number. I accepted the call and held the phone to my ear, "Hey Ash. Is everything okay?"
"Yea, everything's good. You at home?" I heard his deep voice through the phone.
"No. I'm getting my nails done like I told you," I reminded as I watched the nail tech add the gold foil to my middle nail.
I heard Ash let out a groan in annoyance before speaking up, "How long you gon be? I wanna see you."
"Not long. I can get Maddy to drop me off at your place when I'm finished if you like?" I suggested.
"Nah, I'll come pick you up myself. Just send me the addy, aight? I'll see you there shawty," he spoke briefly before hanging up the phone.
I quickly sent him the address of the nail salon and rested my phone back down. Maddy and Cassie had both been listening into my conversation and once I looked up they were staring at me intently, "You guys are so god damn nosey!"
"Sorry! It's been a while since someone other than us two has had this much boy drama," Cassie retorted with a sad laugh.
"That's cause you guys fall for boys who don't deserve you," I responded, not realising how blunt it sounded till I spoke.
