Camille's POV

Cara and I set up a day for her to meet Steve, and today was the day. It was Tuesday and I was finally going out in the real world. Tomorrow I had to work, and I don't think I've ever been so excited to work before.

For tonight, we were going to go on a dinner date. A double date, Cara asked out the guy she was crushing on from work. All I knew about his was that his name was Liam and apparently he is to die for. Cara's words, not mine.

If it was warmer outside, I would've worn a dress, but it's still practically winter. So I ended up wearing jeans and a white dress shirt that I tucked into my jeans.

"Well don't you look gorgeous," said Steve coming up behind me, looking at my through the mirror.

"Thank you," I blushed as I kissed his cheek. "You look very handsome as well." He was wearing his own jeans and a cream colored sweater.

"I try my best."

I admired both of us in the mirror. "Can I please get a picture of us? We look so cute!"

"Why would I say no?" Steve grabbed my phone off the counter and handed it to me.

"Well you don't necessarily like pictures of yourself." I got the camera app ready and pointed it at the mirror. I quickly snapped a couple of photos of us and looked at them. If I was a teenager again, I would totally think these where those 'couple goals' photos

"Yeah, we'll you're in the picture so it makes up for it," said Steve smirking.

"Very funny," I said sarcastically getting my purse. "But unless we want to be late, we should probably go. Your house is far from the city."

"Our house Cam. Our house."

"Same difference! Let's go though." I hated being late to things, it stressed me out.

"Yes Ma'am." We grabbed all of our things, like wallets, and headed out the door. We got into Steve's car with him in the drivers seat, me in the passenger.

"So do you think this Liam guy is going to be good for Cara?" Asked Steve once we go on the road.

"I don't know much about him to base this stuff off of. Plus knowing Cara who knows how long it'll last. I don't think she wants to settle down anytime soon."

"Well you never know, she might find the right person for her."

"I hope she does, she deserves it. But tonight I'll put Liam to the test and see if he's good for her," I laughed.

Steve scrunched his nose up in distaste. "She going to do that to me as well, isn't she?"

"Oh yeah she most definitely will, but there's nothing to worry about. You're a really charmer, and I believe in you to say the right things." I put my hand on his thigh to reassure him that everything was going to go smoothly. "She just might interrogate you a lot, she's very persistent."

"How did you two even become friends. You guys are the exact opposites of each other."

I laughed at the memory from years ago. "Okay, so I just got my job as a bartender, and Cara came into my work with some random guy. This guy was really creepy and even though I didn't know Cara at the time, I could tell she was really uncomfortable. So when the guy went to the bathroom, I went up to her and was like 'is everything okay?' She obviously told me no, and I gave her an idea to make this guy leave."

"Oh god what'd you tell her," laughed Steve.

"I told her to dump a glass of water on the guys head. In my defense I said that jokingly not knowing she would actually do it! But she did it, and we have been best friends ever since."
