chapter 7

as saturday morning came around i dreaded it. we had most of the day to spend, but then we would have to head back home. which almost meant the boys would be trying out for the USA program soon, yet another thing i dreaded. i was shaken from my thoughts as cooper jumped on the bed to wake me and jack up.

"get up we have a lot to do today" cooper shouted.

i rolled out of bed and grabbed a swimsuit from my bag and went into the bathroom to change. once i was done i walked back out to see the boys all ready.

"let's go boys" i said opening the hotel door and we started walking to the beach.

we pretty much spent the whole day at the beach, until the sun started to set and that meant it was almost time to head back home. i threw on some shorts and a tank top and the boys just threw shirts on with their swimsuit bottoms. we grabbed our bags from the room and started to make our back home. i let jack have aux cause i was already exhausted enough.

"hey jack" i said quietly.

"what's up" he said turning his head to look at me.

"can you please drive I'm exhausted" i said frowning.

"yea pull over and we can trade places" he said willing. so obviously i pulled over and me and him traded places. i laid my head back on the seat and started to drift off to sleep, until i felt a hand on my thigh. jack didn't say anything he just kept his hand there until i drifted off.

by the time i woke up we were almost through Tennessee.

"well morning you 2" jack said looking at me, then looking back at cooper.

after many more naps and jam out sessions to our favorite songs, we were home.

"bye jack" i said leaning into kiss him.

"bye el, love you"

"love you more, see ya tomorrow" i said backing away from him and watching him walk up his front stairs.

"call you tonight" he yelled. i nodded and he walked into his house. we dropped the others off and headed home. cooper was still sleeping.

i drove down the familiar roads in my town and finally got home. i woke cooper up and we grabbed our bags and headed inside.

"hey kids how was florida" our dad asked.

"good" me and cooper said at the same time.

"i would love to hear all about it, but let's eat" mom said setting the food down, we all sat down and started to eat. once we finished, me and cooper headed up to rooms to start on homework or sit on our phones.i was working on my homework until jack called.

"heyy" i said setting my phone up on my desk.

"hey whatcha doing" he asked.

"just working on some homework ya know"
our conversation carried on for a couple hours until he ended up falling asleep on call and so did i.
