it was morning of cooper and jack leaving for tournaments/training for 3 weeks. but it was all the way in florida so i had to drop them at the airport.
"cooper, get your stuff in my car we have to pick up jack and ava in 10 minutes" i yelled across the house. my dad was downstairs watching football or something and my mom was at work. cooper ran downstairs with all his bags. "i'm ready" he smiled proudly.
"your gonna do great things and go very far in life i just know it, and since i won't have a chance to say goodbye at the airport, i'll miss you around coop, even though it's only 3 weeks" i smiled and hugged him.
"love you ellie belliee" we started to walked out the front door. we stopped by avas house first and then we picked up jack.
"hey babe" he kissed my cheek and we were on our way to the airport.

we made it to the airport and they went through security and me and ava met them at the gate.
"imagine when we have to say goodbye for months aves" i frowned as the boys walked towards us. i instantly hugged jack. "im gonna miss you so so much" i muffled into his shoulder trying not to cry.
"ellie andrews... i love you more then words will can ever say, i'll call and text you everyday i promise" he looked at me and i couldn't help but cry. he wiped the tears from my face and kissed me. there hadn't really been a day where me and jack weren't apart. i most likely had attachment issues. even though 3 weeks isn't that long i was gonna miss him like crazy.
"what is it gonna be like when you get drafted, we're always gonna be apart" i cried
" ellie stop it" he hugged me again.
"flight 376 to Miami Florida boarding now" the intercom said and we hugged one last time and i quick hugged my brother and they walked to the gate.
"your right el, this is hard" ava shook her head and we walked back to my car and headed home.

we were already 1 week into the 3 week training and jack did call and text everyday like he said he would. i was down in my kitchen eating strawberries and doing some homework when my dad walked in the kitchen and sat down by me.
"why hello father" i laughed.
"hey ellie bellie, so i have some exciting news" he smiled at me.
"dad" i paused.
"yupp! we're going to florida" my dad hugged me, he explained to me that one of there coaches got sick so they need backup.
"ah dad this is the best news i've ever heard ever" i laughed.
"well hurry and go pack we're leaving in a hour" my dad said getting up and walking to his room.
i called ava and told her what was going on, she wasn't able to go cause she had finals and work, but she told me to say hi to coop. by the time i got off the phone with her it was time to go.

i looked through the messages jack had sent me when i was on the plane.
sorry, i was sleeping ❤️ i stupidly replied.
little did he know i'd be seeing him in less then 2 hours. me and dad grabbed our luggage and got a uber from the airport to the hotel. me and my dad got on the elevator to go up the boys room.
knock knock
i watched the door open up and i saw alex's face. i frowned, not the person i wanted to see.
"holy shit" he yelled and i grabbed his mouth.
"what is it" i could hear jack yell in the background.
"shhhh alex. this is a suprise" i said and alex nodded.
"jack your room service is here" alex yelled and i could hear him walking towards the door.
"you really had to yell holy shit for my room servic-" he walked to the door. his jaw dropped when he saw me.
"dam this is better then room service" he grabbed me and we hugged.
"tom, always nice to see you" he hugged my dad. my dad walked in the room to talk to the boys and me and jack stepped out in the hallway.
"you really thought i could go 3 weeks without seeing you" i laughed.
"i'm so shocked. ugh i'm so happy your here, like so happy. i love you so much" he picked me up again, and we walked in by the boys.
"ugh. well there goes all the bro time" cole yelled as i sat down on jacks lap.
"you coulda brought ava with" cooper rolled his eyes. and i just rolled my eyes.

later that night me and jack were out to dinner and we decided we needed to talk to actually about our future situations.
"so what's your plan" he asked shoving food in his mouth.
"um. i'm thinking florida state university. for now that's where i'm going" i smiled slightly. "and you?"
"um. i think i'm gonna go to university of michigan, close to home, and until i get drafted i can keep playing for usa, you know?" he said and i smiled at him.
"we'll make it work, right?" i frowned at him.
"yes ellie, i'll get drafted for some team and then we can have a nice big house and cute little mini jacks and ellies running around, it will be close to perfect" he smiled big at me.
"i love you" i laughed and kept eating.
"i love you too" he smiled. "wait ellie, i have a idea"
"and that is mr hughes"
"maybeee you could take a gap year and spend a year with me staying in michigan" he suggested and smiled.
"mmm. i'll think about it" we got our bill and headed back to the hotel, jack wanted to play video games so i talked to alex.
"so alex what college are you going to" i sat down at the island.
"florida state" my mouth dropped.
"no way me too, atleast i'll know someone there" i smiled.
"this is gonna be great and then jack can visit and maybe i'll find a girlfriend and we can all hang out" alex said very happy.
"mmm i doubt you'll find a girlfriend" jack came and sat by us.
"i used to say the same thing about you, and look at you now" alex raised his eyebrows. we all laughed and alex left to go get chick fi la.
"so you and alex take on college together, so no gap year" jack questioned.
"no. no gap year. but i'm coming home every other week or weekend to visit" i kissed him.
"eh, i think i'd rather come to florida, especially in the winter" he smiled. i smiled back and then i headed back to my room to head to sleep.
