I sighed, sitting down behind the bar after I made lunch for everyone. Himiko loved her blood pudding, I chuckled as her cheeks were covered in the stuff.
"Look, Kyu, I just wanna say somethin'," Giran muttered as he sipped his coffee, "I know I was hard on ya 'bout money and whatnot... just wanna say... I was wrong; you do earn ya keep 'round here."
Dabi munched on his sandwich, his eyes trained on the entrance. His eyes widened.
"Get down," he whispered, his flames burning brightly.
"Hmm?" I asked as I swept up the broken glass from behind the bar.
"...! Mom, get down!" Himiko tackled me down, getting me beneath the bar as an explosion sounded. Himiko covered my body with her own as heavy footfalls echoed around us.
"All right, flaming fuck," I recognized that voice anywhere, "Where's Kyubara?"
"Not here, you ass," Dabi spat back, "Boss took her; something about marriage?"
"You're a fucking liar," he threatened. I watched from behind the bar as Katsuki held Dabi by his throat against the wall. I couldn't see their faces, only their legs..."She hasn't left the building!"
"...Mom, stay low..." Himiko whispered as she got her knife ready.
"...Giran..." I covered my mouth as my brother's voice joined Katsuki's, "...I think it would be in your best interest to tell us where Kyu is."
"What makes ya think I'll squeal?!" He growled.
"Would money convince you?" I took a sharp breath, shaking as I sunk down into the ground.
"...Not good..." Himiko growled, calling someone from her phone. "The heroes are at the base. We need backup. I repeat, the heroes are at the base."
"On our way!" I heard Mange call back. I shivered as another explosion sounded. Dabi-!
"No, Mom," Himiko restrained me, whispering as soft as her voice would let her, "They're here for you. We need to get you out of here..."
"Where is she?!" Katsuki demanded as another explosion sounded. I gulped as he punched the wall behind Dabi. "I won't hesitate to end your life! Where is Kyubara?!"
"Then kill me!" Dabi spat back. My body moved on it's own accord, quickly kicking Katsuki in the stomach and launching him backward.
"Kyu?!" Izu sighed in relief, "D-Don't worry, Sis! We're here to rescue you!"
"I don't need to be rescued! I want to be here!" I put a protective hand on my stomach. "For once in my life, I feel like I belong! Leave, before I start a fight with you all!"
"...You're confused," Izu replied, his gaze dark and in a daze, "This-this is Stockholm Syndrome. I know it is. Just come with us and we'll help you!"
"This isn't Stockholm Syndrome, Izu!" I growled low in my throat, "The League of Villains has treated me as an equal: quirk or not! That's way more than being called a leach by my own brother!" I began to scream. Dabi and Himiko leapt on front of me, Giran covering my blind spot as heroes neared us.
"Kyu, duck!" I did as I was told, Mange making a lunge at Izu. "Run!" She commanded as Giran threw me over his shoulder, carrying me to a different location. Dabi covered our backs as Himiko scouted ahead. I winced as the baby kicked my bladder, causing me to release a little bit of urine. Giran wrinkled his nose, but didn't say a word. Probably because he knew that a pregnant woman can be a hormonal monster...
We headed to the ruins on the outskirts of the city, where we were cut off by two heroes. Dabi winced as a boy with half red, half-white hair glared at us all. Dabi and him began to fight- fire with fire.
