You appeared like the sun from behind the storm clouds
You saved me from myself
We met in my darkest hour
You played the knight in shining armor
Swooping me off my feet
You seemed to only ask for the best in me
I changed so much
Yet you were always the same
Until you were someone I did not recognize
Clenched fists and raised voices
I loved you and supported you
Through trail after trail
I stayed through thick and thin
Even though you gave me nothing in return
Not even your heart
You gave me an engagement ring
You asked me to be yours forever
And I so foolishly agreed
But you lied to me
You stole from me
Cheated on me
The one person in this world
Who loved you so unconditionally
