You and I were never meant to be and yet we persisted for some reason I'll never know.
You came at the right moment when the world was set on fire and suddenly I needed you. I thought needing was enough. I thought it was loving. How wrong I was we were magnets with different pulls. Yours took you on travels to far away and dangerous places. Mine kept me at home with family. A place you do desperately did not want to be. I'm not sure how we ever fooled ourselves. I do wish you well though. I hope it's all worth the fuss and excitement.
