You were the unexpected
The romance I wasn't looking for
Youthful sleepovers
Always hanging out
All because of that one nights kiss
When you told me that you liked me
Even though you didn't know me
And as foolish as I was
I thought it was love at first sight
Let you become my only light in the darkness
I forgot to be my own light
And when the flame burnt out
And you decided to go away
I was left in the darkness
With my way out
Unsure of where I was
Utterly terrified for my life
Curing my own name
For letting you do that to me
For letting you be my everything
And letting you destroy me
It is still haunting
How broken I am all this time later
With all these scars I'm left to carry
