Edmund and I had spent the rest of the day together in the Garden of Telmar, around the back of the castle. The other Pevensie continued the joke that we were like a pair of magnets. The only time we could be separated was when I had a dress fitting for the coronation; just to be sure that any final alterations that needed to be completed were made.
My tiara that I would be coronated with was my mothers. A golden frame held and protected the diamonds and moonstones expertly positioned. Much like a Queen should protect and guide her citizens.
The dress that had been hand made was stunning. It was floor-length red velvet with small gold detailing, it matches the detailing of leaves on Edmund's Silver crown. I also had some red velvet heels that match the dress, with similar metal gold decorating the heel. The gold was embellished with small moonstones and diamonds, the same as my crown.
It had also been decided that my hair would be tied up into a loose ponytail, with a soft braid seamlessly fading into it. With minimal to no makeup present. I wasn't comfortable having all those products on my face.
24 Hours later - The day of the coronation:
The throne room had been organised and decorated for the coronation. My parents' two thrones sat at the end, with Aslan the lion stood proudly in the middle. Lining the walls were some of the Telmarine nobility and Narnians that were specially selected.
Everyone stood patiently waiting for the procession of people that would start the coronation. Peter and Susan lead the queue arm in arm, then Edmund escorted Lucy in the same manner.
Ultimately, It was time for Caspian and I to walk towards Aslan and the Telmarine thrones. I was nervously guided down the aisle of the throne room by my brother, he was wearing his fitted attire. I looked at every person, a mix of Narnians and Telemarines, and they all smiled and bowed to me and Caspian.
Surprisingly, the majority of the Telmarines were quick to accept the Narnians, and proud to have Caspian and I as their leader.
In the front row, the first people I saw were Trumpkin and Truffehunter. I will never forget that they raised me and made me the woman I am today. I am eternally grateful that they took me in to be a part of their family, because they will always be a part of mine.
Next is Glenstorm. He was another father figure to me as I grew up, he taught me to handle a blade alongside Reep, Trumpkin and Nikabrik. His wife Windmane, stood next to him and they both bowed their heads respectfully. I smiled at the pair and gave them a small nod, each of their smiles brightened like a fresh summer day.
Then Reepicheep and his band of mice bowed with their swords crossed over their chests just as they always did. I feel honoured to know them. They also taught me that no matter how different whether it be big or small, human or Narnian it doesn't matter where you came from, it is what's inside that counts. Narnia owes a lot to them.
Finally, Caspian and I reached the head of the room where the four Kings and Queens went and took their rightful place beside Aslan. Edmund and Lucy on the left, Peter and Susan on the right. Caspian and I bowed down to the five of them until Aslan told us to rise once more.
"Rise Príncipe Caspian and Princesa Guinevere." Aslan instructed with his powerful voice. We both arose slowly and stood looking at the five of them as they looked at us , using the Spanish titles, a tradition in Telmarine coronations.
Edmund sent me a small smirk and it was hard not to laugh so I sent him a small smile in return.
Peter took my hand and guided me towards one of two thrones centred in the middle of the raised platform. Susan did the same with Caspian, before the other two Pevensies walked to the front row of people in the throne room adjacent to Trumpkin and the others.
