A week later:
I woke up in my bed chamber, surrounded by soft pillows. Sunlight blinded my vision as I tried to open my eyes with a vexed groan. I hate mornings, always have, probably always will.
My hair was a mess and my head felt heavy, as I made my way over to the small bowl of water prepared by a maid earlier. I wiped my face over with a wet cloth, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
I fixed my hair, with the small comb left on the dresser before putting on my dress. It was a much fancier dress than the ones I used to wear when living in the forest. It was a dark indigo dress made of a soft velvet material. The shoulder of the sleeves were patterned with golden roses, connecting to a rounded neckline. The rest of the sleeves were a pale silvery white silk, forming a bell shape as they went down. I slipped some silvery-white shoes with a tiny heel and strap that looped around my ankle.
I placed my tiara onto my head and mentally prepared myself for the morning's task. Today we provide the Telmarines a chance to return to the world they came from. It was a way of giving them a second chance, to live a life without the Narnians.
I met up with my brother in the corridor to the left of the entrance hall before we walked down the steps of the courtyard of the castle, greeting a maid who passed us with a shy smile.
Caspian and I looked for Peter and Susan, only to see them speaking to Aslan. Based on the looks on their faces, we could tell that they were in a deep, serious conversation.
We just looked at each other until Aslan addressed us.
"Your Majesties." He said as we looked back up. Peter and Susan looked like they were trying to hide that they were upset.
"We are ready," Caspian explained and I bit my lip. "Everyone has assembled." He continued.
Aslan had required us to assemble all citizens in the town, including all the Telemarines that remained and accepted the new change.
I was unsure of what Aslan had planned to get people back to their previous land, but of course, Caspian and I had agreed to it.
So we all gathered together as Caspian spoke our well-rehearsed words to the people. I was standing beside the Pevensies. Edmund had his hand locked tightly in mine.
"Narnia belongs to the Narnians just as it does to man." Caspian began, his accent becoming less thick and his voice was clear.
He had everyone's attention the minute he began speaking, the true making of a King.
"Any Telmarines who want to stay and live in peace are welcome to. But for any of you who wish, Aslan will return you to the home of our forefathers."
"It's been generations since we left Telmar." A man spoke from the crowd and I took a step forward, letting go of Edmund's hand and joining my brother's side.
"We're not referring to Telmar." Aslan told them.
"Your ancestors were seafaring brigands. Pirates run aground on an island. There they found a cave, a rare chasm that brought them here from their world. The same world as our Kings and Queens. It is to that island I can return you. It is a good place for any who wish to make a new start." The lion continued.
There was an awkward silence for a few seconds, I doubted anyone would agree to this offer seeing as there was no real explanation as to what is on the other side.
"I will go." A voice spoke up. A few citizens moved out of the way as Glozelle stepped forwards. I was surprised by this, but at the same time, I knew it would be difficult for him to see Queen Eleanor's children on the throne.
