Phil's POV

I walked into the office at my normal time this morning. Everything was the same, the plant on my desk, the crooked painting on the wall, and of course, him.
He's so beautiful, his long, thick, mustache, his head which glimmered in the artificial light of the office, and his clean, pressed suit and tie. I looked at him for a little longer than usual, holding my briefcase in my right hand before sitting down and getting to work on the data table for the company which I worked for.

Steve's POV

I got to work half an hour before him, as usual. I always liked how he looked at me for a prolonged amount of time, how his face flushed from the sight of me. But something felt different today. Something I couldn't put my finger on.
I decided that it was in my best interest not to think about it, in order to not cause myself distress, though it wouldn't matter that much, not like I could loose anymore hair as it is.

Phil's POV

As work was about to end, I just knew I had to tell him. I got all of my belongings together and nervously walked up to him.
"Hey, um, Steve. I thought that I should tell you that ever since I started working here 20 years ago, I've had feelings for you. I'm sure it's not mutual, but I just thought you should know." I said, anxiously anticipating an answer.
"Oh, I actually feel the same way for you, I never thought you'd say anything about it." He replied scratching the back of his neck.
"Do you wanna go out sometime?" I asked, deciding to take the initiative now that I knew he liked me back.
"Yeah, I'd really enjoy that." He replied in his slight southern accent.
"Does Saturday work for you?" I asked, happily anticipating an answer.
"Oh, yeah. That sounds perfect." He replied.

Steve's POV

I drove home after Phil confessed. I haven't been this happy since, well, her. You see, about 15 years ago I was married to this girl, Marjorie. She was the love of my life, my pride and joy, until one day she was driving back home from work on a rainy day and crashed the car. Later that week we buried her. It was the saddest experience of my life and I haven't dated since, but maybe this was my second chance! My chance to get out there and live the rest of my days in prosper.
Once I made it home, I fed my cat, Biscuit and then started making dinner and sitting down on the couch to watch some boring reality TV show while I thought about Phil, who may soon be my lover.
After I finished my dinner I got a shower and then laid in bed, not wanting to be tired for work tomorrow.
