"Speaking" 'Thinking'
When they'd finally gotten away from the pushy reporters that had surrounded the area at the name 'Shadow' being revealed, Midoriya was finally let down. "You..., You're a hero!?" He finally got out the words he'd been mumbling the entire time.
She simply gave the boy a smile. "Well, I told you that I'd help you become a hero. Why would I say that if I myself, wasn't one?" She asked the boy, confused. "Honestly, my entire family are heroes." She told the boy as she thoroughly thought about it.
As she walked down a path with the boy at her side, the two of them suddenly heard shouting coming closer and closer.
"Deku! You damn nerd. Don't think that I'm grateful to you, got it!" The boy yelled. He wanted to belittle the boy, but was startled at the presence of the very tall woman next to him.
"Agh, and who the hell are you!?" He shouted. Kage glared down at the boy.
"I'm the one that saved your ass, earlier." She told the boy as her glare grew colder. The explosive boy began to sweat more than he already does. The boy turned around and clicked his tongue, before quickly running off.
Kage scoffed, "What an impudent child." She spoke with a sigh. Midoriya was openly shaking at the woman's glare from just a moment ago.
"What?" She asked as she nudged the boy's arm.
"Ah, nothing...!" The boy shrieked.
The two walked in what Kage thought was comfortable silence, until the man that had crushed Midoriya's dreams just so happened to appear in front of them.
"Young man!" The man shouted. Kage sent the hero a murderous glare.
Small Might simply ignored the woman's existence and continued to grow closer to the boy. Midoriya shrunk in on himself. He didn't want to see All Might at this point. He completely destroyed his dreams.
Kage assumed that this was the part where Midoriya was meant to become All Might's successor. However, she just so happened to get to the boy first. The glare stayed on Kage's face, instead a small smirk landed on her lips, knowing the clear outcome of the conversation already.
'It's called the butterfly effect for a reason.'
The man grew anxious as the boy hid behind the person he'd found to be known as 'Shadow', also being the little five year old girl that he'd been holding onto for a good 30 or so minutes.
He finally spared a glance towards the woman, only to see her with a murderous glare pointed in his direction. The smirk on her face told him everything. He'd missed his chance. He wasn't there for the boy when he needed him the most.
Small tears once again found their place in the corners of Midoriya's eyes. His mind told him different ways to get out of this kind of situation. However, he couldn't listen to any of them. He couldn't. If he listened to his head now, he's afraid that he'd be doing more than just crying.
Kage looked down toward the boy hiding behind her. She sighed and lowered a hand, placing it gently on the boy's head. Midoriya's eyes grew wider, and he looked up towards the woman. She was no longer holding the glare he'd seen her give All Might, instead the look in her eyes showed him compassion and promise.
He lowered his guard in an instant. The tears from seconds ago already fading as if non-existent. He placed his hand on top of the one that she had placed on his head and nodded.
The look in his eyes was one of admiration and determination. He was going to face this. No matter how terrifying it felt. The boy held on tight to the older woman's hand as it fell from his head to her side. He nodded to her and looked the man in the face.
The look on All Might's face was one of pure defeat. He hadn't even been able to say a word. "I'm sure you understand, right old man?" She spoke with a sinister little smile and a strange devilish glint in her eyes. The man looked up at her and got an idea. He quickly smirked and looked back towards the young boy.
"Young man, I'd like to take back my words from earlier. I truly believe that you can be a hero." Izuku's breath hitched and his hand held onto the woman's tighter. "I realize what I said on that roof was wrong. I was tired and out of time, I couldn't give you the best words without it coming off as rude. However, when I saw you run in during that figh-
"You were there! Why didn't you do anything!?" The boy screamed. The grasp on Kage's hand was even tighter. Kage's smile grew even wider as the man failed to impress the boy with his plain words. At this point, it was pretty much a crushing defeat.
He glared down at the woman, knowing exactly why he failed. If she hadn't rushed in during the fight to save the boy, it would have been him. He could have done something. (Kage would disagree with this, considering the man was no where to be seen at the time Midoriya was about to get knocked tf out.)
"Listen, I was going to hel-
"But you didn't! Instead... I ended up getting in trouble..." Izuku mumbled as he hid his face. Kage looked down at the boy with a keen eye.
She sighed as she looked between the boy and the old dude. "Fine! Shit Might! I'll let you train him, but only partially. He will be following my schedule. Got that." She told the man with a glare. The man wanted to refute, that and speak up about that obscene name he'd been given, but knew that this was better then nothing. She was one of the smartest people the world knows too... |That is if she actually is Shadow|
The man sighed in defeat and nodded. Izuku looked between the two, still not completely ready to accept All Might's help. He wanted to complain to the woman, but soon realized that this would be able to help him.
