-YOUR POV-

Sam just gave me ‘the look’ that he used to always give me when he knew I was lying, and then left the room.

Except I WASN’T lying! ...Was I?

When I heard the screaming begin and the music start, I knew the opening act had begun. I kind of wanted to experience what it was like for the guys before the concert, so I went backstage to where they were. It was maybe an hour before they had to go onstage.

“Hey!” I said with a smile on my face, walking up to Logan and James who were sitting against the wall of the dressing room hallway.

“Hey, YN!” James said, looking up. Clearly him and Logan had been talking about something pretty upbeat. Both of them had smiles on their faces as they looked up at me.

“What’s got you two all smiley?” I laughed, sitting down against the wall across from them.

“Just pumped for the last show, that’s all.” Logan said, resituating himself so he was sitting up straight instead of slouching.

“Why is it that I don’t believe you?” I challenged him. Truth was I did believe him. I just wanted to see if there really was something else.

Instantly James and Logan looked at each other. “You’re good at that.” James said.

I tilted my head to the side. “At what?”

“Knowing when people are lying.” He answered.

Ah, so there WAS something else!

“I know.” I smiled, acting as if I knew what I was doing. “So what were you two really talking about?”

“Well, we were just saying how-“ Logan began, only to be interrupted by Carlos walking out of his dressing room.

“Hey guys!” He smiled.

“Hi, Carlos!” I said, jumping up to hug him. I loved hugging Carlos-he was like a little teddy bear.

“YN?” I heard Kendall’s voice from behind me.

“Hey Kendall!” I said, letting go of Carlos and turning around to face Kendall.

“What are you doing here? You should be enjoying the concert!” He laughed.

I shrugged. “I wanted to stay here and hang out with you guys.”

He thought for a second then said, “Fine. But you are NOT missing our entrance it’s amazing.”

I laughed and the guys just shook their heads at Kendall’s arrogance. But it was cute...he was arrogant in a cute way. Or was he cute in an arrogant way? Point is it was adorable.

After talking with the guys for another forty-five minutes, Kendall kicked me out. I felt the eyes on me as I made my way out from backstage and onto the floor to my front row seat. Clearly the audience of Rushers was completely confused as to who I was since the guys had never mentioned me before, and I was obviously just with them backstage.

I’m not gonna lie when I say that Kendall was right. The entrance WAS amazing. The first notes to the song I recognized as Elevate boomed throughout the arena as the boys slowly rose on a platform, the lights flashing everywhere. Throughout the concert, I danced on one foot, avoiding further injury to my other leg, and found myself even singing along the parts of the songs I knew. Every now and then one of the guys would come sing to me and joke around. I would just laugh because they are all such goofballs. They all danced in perfect synch and sang in perfect harmony. It was unbelievable how talented they all were. But even though all four boys were equally as amazing, I couldn’t help but keep my eyes on Kendall the entire night...
