YOUR POV

“Ready to go?” I said to Kendall as we stood up.

He grabbed my hand and smiled. “Ready for anything.”

After filming the party scene, Kendall and I spent the rest of the day together. The other guys and girls hung out around Maui, while Kendall and I did our own thing. By the end of the day, saying goodbye was almost impossible.

The four boys had just dropped off the girls and I, Kendall getting out of the limo to say goodbye to me. The jeep had belonged to the person whose backyard we’d filmed the party scene in, so Kendall and I rode in the limo with everyone else.

“The fact that we’re in the same place but I can’t see you is gonna kill me.” I said to him.

He smiled in understanding. “Hey, we’ve both got jobs to do right now. I’ll see you when you get back, okay?”

“Yeah. Yeah, of course.” I nodded, and then hugged him, holding onto him for as long as I could.

“Kendall, we gotta go.” Carlos called to us from the car.

“I’ll be thinking about you-“

“Worldwide.” I smiled as we spoke the lyrics.

He kissed me passionately, not quite as passionate as earlier, more like a mix of from when I first saw him today and when we were on the rock.

“Kendall, we really need to go!” James said.

I felt bad, knowing they were on a tight schedule, so I pulled away.

“I’ll text you, okay?” He said.

I smiled and nodded.

“I love you.” He called out to me as he walked back to the car.

“You too.” I said, unable to wipe the smile off my face.

The second I saw the dumbfounded expressions on the other guys’ faces I laughed and turned to walk into my hotel.

As I walked down the hallway to the hotel room, I slowly allowed the emotions I’d been hiding to creep up to the surface. Tears stung my eyes as I opened the door.

“Hey, girl!” Celeste said from her bed.

I looked up at her, forced a small smile, and quickly looked away.

“YN?” She said, standing up and walking over to me.

I ran into her arms and hugged her. “That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” I cried. I definitely just needed a shoulder to cry on right now.

“Hey, it’s not like you’ll be gone forever.” She said.

I nodded and let go of her, wiping the tears from my eyes. “I know, I’m such a baby.”

“No you’re not!” She said. “You love him! It’s gonna be hard, you knew that from the start!”

I nodded.

“Think of it this way, would you rather have never met him? Or is the pain worth it?”

“It’s worth it.” I said without hesitation.

“Exactly! Just two more months, and you made it through one; you can make it through a couple more. Plus, with all the dancing and everything going on, it’ll make time fly even faster and you’ll be back before you know it.”

“Yeah. You’re right.” I smiled at her. Although she was definitely accurate, it didn’t ease the pain of not seeing him for so long.

‘You were right. This definitely got harder :/’ I read the text from Kendall and typed in a response, ‘I know, I really wish there was another way. If we weren’t so busy we could at least CALL each other.’

We texted for at least another three hours, but by then it was around eleven and I had a long day tomorrow, so I had to say goodnight. But even though I tried my hardest to sleep, I just tossed and turned until midnight, unable to even rest. Celeste was passed out since she’d fallen asleep around ten.

Without any other idea of what to do, I grabbed my room key and quietly slid out of the room for a walk on the beach.
