"That's not what I meant" said Namjoon.

Hoseok frowned.

"Then what do you mean?" he asked.

Namjoon looked at him and it made Hoseok feel weird. As if he had already lived that scene.
As if he was having a deja vu.

Hoseok took time to explore this moment. Namjoon obviously was upset. He looked kind of lost. He seemed in doubt.
However, what stroke Hoseok the most was the underlying pain in Namjoon's eyes.

He had already seen that pain before.

But where?

"I don't think you could understand" said Namjoon, in a low and slow voice.

I've heard those words as well.

Hoseok closed his eyes. A long time ago, Yoongi had showed the same pain in his eyes. Yoongi had used the same words.

A light smile appeared on Hoseok's face.

Could it be?

"Try me" he simply said, looking into Namjoon's eyes.

Somehow that seemed to work.

"When I say I am good at knowing how people feel, it's because I can feel what they feel" explained Namjoon.
"Sounds like a big burden" commented Hoseok.

"See, that's weird, because I feel how calm you are right now. You aren't either shocked nor scared. Maybe a little surprised, but that's all" added Namjoon.
"You're good" asked Hoseok.

However, even if he was calm, this information brought other things with it, mostly questions.

"Aaaand now you're puzzled" commented Namjoon.
"Why did you feel comfortable sharing this with me? It obviously is a huge secret" asked Hoseok.
"Because I know you have no bad intentions, firstly, and you seem to have your secrets as well" explained Namjoon. "But mostly because you scared the hell out of me this morning."

Hoseok frowned.

"We were in class, you were bored -but no need to read emotions to know that-, then suddenly you started typing and your emotions shifted instantly. I never experienced someone mixing happiness with despair, melancholy, gratefulness and impatience" added Namjoon.

"Well" sighed Hoseok.

"I usually never interfere in people's lives, cause I would get in a lot of trouble, but you made it impossible not to" explained Namjoon.
"I should be honored" laughed Hoseok.

However, something felt off.

"What's your theory?" asked Namjoon, who evidently knew Hoseok's odd feeling.
"Humans don't have abilities like that" said Hoseok.
"If you're wondering about that, does that mean the theory I have about you is correct as well?" asked Namjoon almost rhetorically.

Hoseok and Namjoon locked eyes.

It was obvious that they were both thinking about the same thing. However saying it out loud was another thing.

"It's kinda neat" said Namjoon finally, a big smile on his face.
"It is" answered Hoseok, finally understanding why Namjoon and him got along so well.

"So... Jin?" asked Hoseok.

Namjoon sighed.

"I can't read his emotions. I can read anyone else's though" said Namjoon.
"Why not his?" asked Hoseok.
"Cause I like him" said Namjoon, as if it answered it.
"And he's not one of us?" asked Hoseok.

Namjoon sighed. Hoseok knew what it meant. Namjoon didn't know.

"Shame Yoongi isn't here" he whispered. "He knows exactly what you feel."
"Is he the person the statue represents?" asked Namjoon.
"How did you know?" asked Hoseok.

"Easy, you had the same feeling saying his name as you did when you admired the statue in the square" explained Namjoon.
"That... wow" said Hoseok. "So you knew something was going on with me?"

"As I told you, I don't get involved. If you have feelings for a statue, it's not my problem" replied Namjoon. "I would get crazy otherwise."

Hoseok nodded.

"And Jungwon?" asked Hoseok.
"Oh he's definitely in love with someone" said Namjoon. "No doubts about that."
"Who would have thought?" asked Hoseok to himself.
"How old is he?" asked Namjoon.
"Hum, we don't count anymore, but I'm almost seven hundred, so I'd say around five hundred" answered Hoseok. "How about you?"
"Six hundred and fifty this year" answered Namjoon.

"Sorry" said Hoseok, as he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket.

A second later, Namjoon's did the same.

"We should go" said Hoseok.
"Jimin is starting to get worried" laughed Namjoon.

The two immortals walked inside the cafeteria, soon spotting their group of friends.
As soon as they were closer to said table, Jin locked eyes with Namjoon.

"Where were you guys?" asked Jimin.
"Come on" said Jungkook.
"We had to talk about the creative writing assignment" said Namjoon.

Jin quickly looked at Hoseok, as if he was trying to determine if this was the real reason.

"What's for lunch?" asked Hoseok.

This word had worked like a spell on Jin, who spent the next four minutes explaining all the options on the menu today.

The afternoon classes had bored Hoseok. Truth was, he wanted to come home and learn more about this crush Jungwon had.

He had known the young man for an extremely long time, and saying he wasn't looking forward to a bit of drama would be a lie.

Fortunately, it was almost time to go home.
As soon as the last class ended, Hoseok waved his friends goodbye and left the university.

He passed in front of Yoongi, as he always did, and reached home.

Jungwon was already there, apparently doing his homework.

I have to be smooth about this now.

Hoseok had decided to wait until the evening meal to bring it up subtlety. He had taken the time to cook Jungwon's favorite food, curry.

"Hyung, it smells so good" said Jungwon, as he sat down to eat.
"Don't compliment until you've tried it" said Hoseok, smiling nonetheless.

They started eating and thankfully, it tasted as good as it smelled.

Jungwon had a big smile on his face, which reassured his older brother.

"So how's school?" asked the latter.
"Today I had a chemistry class" started Jungwon. "And my partner said the funniest thing."

Hoseok listened to the story, trying to guess if this "chemistry partner" was the crush.

"Is it, uh, Sunoo, was it?" asked Hoseok, trying to act natural.
"Oh no, Sunoo sits next to me in the main classroom" explained Jungwon. "My chemistry partner is Jay."

Hoseok was certain Jungwon's cheek had blushed at the mention of Jay's name.

So it's Jay...
