Before Hoseok could open his eyes, he heard a loud crack.

A very loud crack.

His whole being shivered as his brain tried to connect the noise to its possible origin.

That couldn't be what he thought, right?

Hoseok slowly turned around as he heard Jungwon and Jay gasping.

His breath got stuck in his lungs as he saw Yoongi's stone hair turning real again. They were brown, the most beautiful brown he had ever laid eyes upon.
Soon, his forehead found it's color again, followed by his eyes, still closed.

The world had stopped turning, and even though the curse was being broken quite fast, it took an eternity for Hoseok.

He could distinguish every small detail about his soulmate. His eyeslashes, his moles, everything.

Hoseok was still frozen, not moving nor breathing. A minute later, only Yoongi's feet were still made of stone.

Hoseok heard a "go" from behind him and as if he was freed of an invisible chain, he stepped towards Yoongi.

As soon as his whole body had turned back, released from his prison, Yoongi fell, hopefully directly into Hoseok's arms. Hoseok managed to kneel, taking Yoongi with him. Jungwon and Jay helped him lay down, and they placed Yoongi's head on Hoseok's lap.

"Yoongi?" asked Hoseok, desperately.

Yoongi still had his eyes closed.

"Is he breathing?"

Hoseok didn't know who had talked, and it didn't matter, what mattered was knowing the answer.
He buried his ear on Yoongi's chest and let a sigh of relief leave his mouth as he heard Yoongi's heart beating.

He also felt a breath tickling the back of his head.
Yoongi's breathing.

"Seok?" asked a voice slowly.

Hoseok cried.
He hadn't heard this voice in three hundred and fifty years.

"Yoongi" he replied, moving back to see Yoongi's face.

The latter was blinking a lot, which was quite understandable after not having used his eyes in so long.

"Are you real?" asked Yoongi, seemingly confused.

Hoseok smiled tenderly as he took Yoongi's hand with his. He slowly move it upwards, until Yoongi's palm touched his cheek.

"I'm real" he whispered, still crying silent tears of happiness.

Yoongi didn't speak anymore. He was just smiling as well.

Hoseok couldn't wait anymore. He had counted every day he had been apart from his soulmate. Now that he was back, there was only one thing to do.

He slowly leaned in, trembling with excitement until his lips finally touched Yoongi's.

Some things never change.
Some things will always make one feel the same.

However, every kiss Hoseok and Yoongi shared was different. Every kiss was related to a certain moment  in time, linked to a precise emotion. Every kiss was as unique as them.

Hoseok's whole being had craved for a simple kiss from Yoongi for so long. He had built it up so much in his head, imagining how it would be, how it would taste, how long it would last.

Never could have he been so far from the truth.

It wasn't just a kiss.

It was a long lost key to pure bliss.

Soon, the gentle first contact turned into a more deep and passionate moment. Yoongi still had his hand on Hoseok's cheek, firmly holding him, scared that he would vanish any moment.
Hoseok had Yoongi on his lap, and had wrapped his left arm around him.

This was it.
Their little bubble of intimacy.
This was a new kiss, setting an everlasting milestone in their lives.

Butterflies had taken control of Hoseok's whole stomach as he and Yoongi opened their mouths.
They had kissed countless times, but it did feel like a first kiss. They took their time to explore each other, intertwining their tongues in a sweetest embrace.

They were finally as they were always meant to be: one.

They naturally ended their kiss was a myriad of smaller ones.

"Finally" whispered Yoongi, once Hoseok had leaned back.
"I know" replied the later, the biggest smile on his face.

They stayed like that, simply admiring each other.

"How do you feel?" asked Hoseok in a whisper, as he caressed Yoongi's cheek.
"Honestly? Tired" he replied.

Hoseok laughed. He hadn't felt so happy in centuries.

"You're always tired" he said.
"Yeah, well" replied Yoongi, slightly blushing. "What you're gonna do."
"Carry you home?" replied Hoseok seriously.
"I think I can handle it" said Yoongi, proud as usual.

"Easy, easy" said Hoseok, carefully helping Yoongi standing up again.

The latter didn't need the advice to take it slowly though. His whole body hurt terribly, having kept one position for centuries.

"I can't wait to sleep" he mumbled, as his back cracked.

Hoseok smiled, suddenly very aware that Jungwon and Jay were still there.

"Hey" said Yoongi, looking at Jungwon.

The latter was extremely embarrassed and genuinely mortified.

"Yoongi" he said, in a low voice.

Yoongi didn't answe. He stepped towards the youngest with Hoseok's help.
Jungwon wasn't expecting what came next. In fact, how could he have?
Yoongi hugged him.

He hugged him like he had hugged him so many time before.

"You already spent four hours explaining and apologizing" whispered Yoongi in his ear. "Plus you saved me, so it's all good."

"What?" asked Hoseok.

"Oh right" said Yoongi, ending the hug. "You guys don't know."

They all frowned as Yoongi ended the hug.

"I was cursed because Jungwon was jealous of us" said Yoongi. "As soon as I turned I knew that it would last until Jungwon finally found someone he loved."

"Do you mean?" asked Hoseok.
"Yeah, Jungwon's confession to Jay broke the curse" said Yoongi.

"Wow" whispered Jungwon. "He hadn't mentioned that."

As he saw everyone looking at him, he decided to continue talking.

"The man I hired to curse you. I explained the whole story and he cursed Yoongi, however he hadn't mentioned that" said Jungwon, embarrassed.
"I see" said Yoongi.

Jungwon seemed quite lost in his thoughts.

"Anyway, I spent a long time waiting for this, let's not dwell in the past anymore, please" said Yoongi.
"Are you sure you're okay?" asked Hoseok, who had feared Yoongi's reaction a lot.

Yoongi and Jungwon shared a long eye contact.

"I am" confirmed Yoongi. "Except for one thing."

Then, he proceeded to turn around and bowed to Jay.

"I'm Yoongi, Jungwon's older brother" said Yoongi, standing up again. "Nice to meet you Jay."
"My honor, really" replied Jay, bowing as well.

"Welcome to the family" added Yoongi, feeling Hoseok taking his hand in his.

"Should we go eat something?" asked Hoseok.
"How about one of your burgers and sprite?" asked Yoongi. "I don't know what those are, but you were always talking about them."

Jungwon instantly laughed, while Hoseok looked a little annoyed.

"Not always" he mumbled as the four of them started walking towards the burger place, on the right side of the now statueless square.
