After a difficult negotiation, Namjoon had finally convinced Hoseok to go back home and sleep. They had spent the whole day by Yoongi in the square, trying to come up with a plan.

The argument that convinced Hoseok was that Yoongi had already managed communicating with him during his sleep, so if he went to bed now, maybe that would happen again.

However, Hoseok couldn't stay still. As soon as they had entered the apartment, he had noticed something weird.

Jungwon isn't home.

That thought turned out to be true.

"He's probably at a friend's" said Namjoon.

Hoseok agreed, he could understand how Jungwon would want to keep some distance with him after everything that had happened.
He knew that Jungwon felt guilty.

However, something deep down was bothering Hoseok. He didn't know what, though.
Namjoon made sure he was okay before leaving. Hoseok heard him calling Jin as soon as he stepped out and felt bad.

Jin is being really patient about Namjoon and me.

Jin didn't know about their immortality, and Hoseok knew there wouldn't be anything between him and Namjoon, but he could see how it could seem otherwise from an external eye.
Nonetheless, Jin had been extremely cool about their closeness.

Hoseok liked him. He was used to humans being short tempered and jealous, so this was a fresh change.

Hoseok sighed and put on his pijama, which consisted in sweatpants and a huge t-shirt. As soon as his head hit his pillow, he heard the entrance bell ringing.

Several times.

What the?

Hoseok got up and walked towards the front door, a little pissed. He checked the peep eye and recognized the person behind it.

"Jay?" he asked as he opened the door.
"Is Jungwon here?" asked the latter immediately.
"Excuse me?" replied Hoseok, not understanding why someone would come over this late unannounced.
"Oh, sorry, good night, I didn't mean to barge in here, but I'm worried" explained Jay.
"He isn't home, but I'm sure he's at a friend's" said Hoseok.
"I called everyone" replied Jay.

He sounded extremely stressed.

What if the feeling I had earlier is true?

Hoseok let Jay in.
A quick inspection in the younger brother's room revealed that he had taken some clothes with him and Hoseok also saw that some of their money was missing.

He tried reaching him, but Jungwon had left his phone on the coffee table.

On purpose?

"I don't understand" whispered Hoseok.

Is this because of me?

Hoseok could see why Jungwon would flee from the situation, but it still remained strange. He wasn't someone impulsive like that, and Hoseok had made sure that Jungwon understood things were okay.
Well, by okay, he meant that he understood why Jungwon had done all this.

"I think.. I think it's my fault" said Jay as he sat on the couch.
"Why would it be your fault?" asked Hoseok.

"Well, I told him we couldn't be together. Because I'm im-" he said, before stopping neatly, his eyes widely opened. "Because I can't be in a relationship."

Hoseok frowned. His brain took a second to process it.

"Because you're what?" asked Hoseok, dead serious.

Jay looked down. His cheek had lost their color.

"The only thing that matters is that if we're together he'll end up hurt" explained Jay. "Which I don't want happening."

Hoseok had heard this so many times before. So much so that it sounded like an old song.

"Cause you're immortal?" asked Hoseok, looking into his eyes.
"How? No. That's. How?" asked Jay confused.
"Cause I'm probably older than you" said Hoseok.

Jay froze for a second.

"And Jungwon?" he asked slowly.
"He's been with me for a while" said Hoseok.

Jay facepalmed his forehand pretty hard.

"I'm an idiot" he mumbled.
"Look, Jungwon is missing, I'm sorry but I don't have time to discuss whether or not you're an idiot" said Hoseok. "I have to go look for him."
"I'll go with you" instantly replied Jay.

There weren't a lot of places that Jungwon liked. However Hoseok was sure that his brother was in a park nearby. He always loved taking walks there when it rained. He said it refreshed him.

Hoseok smiled thinking about that.

I have to find him.

The two of them ran outside and headed for the park. As the reached the square, Hoseok prepared himself to simply greet Yoongi from afar, as he unfortunately didn't have time to stop and talk to him this time.

The night had fallen and the only source of light were the street lights and some projectors illuminating Yoongi.

Hoseok turned his head to check on his soulmate when his feet stopped moving.

Jungwon was there, facing Yoongi.
