The next morning, Lily called Cooper and put the call on speaker phone for Dana and Kaylie to listen in. They hadn't been able to make the call again the previous day because Lily hadn't been in the right state of mind to make any calls. After she had sobbed her eyes out, she had finally passed out and woke up right in time for breakfast. She was still in shock about the Cheryl news and they understood that, so they had given her the space she needed until she had picked up her phone and called Cooper.

"Hello." He picked up on the fourth ring.

"Coop." Lily said.

"Lily, you're alright, thank goodness." Cooper sighed. "I was worried after I fled when the cops arrived."

"So, you were there."

"Yea." He answered. "I called them."

Lily looked up at Dana and Kaylie.
"Coop, do you know what happened?" She asked. "I remember most of the night because I didn't take much to knock me on my ass."

"Hmm." He began. "It was all Cheryl's idea."

Lily's eyes fluttered shut.

"She told me to get it into your drink so you could get your 'eagle eyes' off her every move."

"You spiked my drink?" Lily asked, surprised Cheryl would get him to do that.

"I did and now I'm just sorry I did." He said. "If you had had your eyes on her, she wouldn't have had any more of the fentanyl."

Lily's eyes went wide.
"Wait, what?! She used Fentanyl."

"You both did."

"Fuckin' shit." Lily cursed. "I specifically told her not to buy anymore of that stuff."

"Yea she told me." Cooper said "But she said she wasn't buying anymore if I already had her money."

"Oh Cheryl." Lily groaned with pain in her eyes.

"Is she alright Lily, I haven't heard from her."

"Coop she..." Lily took a deep breath. "She's gone."

Silence filled the room.

"What do you mean gone?" He asked.

Lily blinked back the tears that were threatening to fall out.
"She's dead, Coop."

The sharp in take of breath was heard through the phone.
"I-I..." Silence. "I'm so sorry. This is my fault; I shouldn't have listened to her."

"It's not Coop." Lily said. "It isn't your fault."

"I-I'm really sorry Lily." He said and hung up without saying goodbye.

Lily stared at nothing specific, she was miles away when the door burst open and an older couple probably in their fifties or sixties entered her room. The woman's eyes went from Dana to Kaylie and fell on Lily's face.

"Which one of you is Lily Kincaid?" She asked, anger written all over her face, her eyes red.

Lily clenched her jaw; she had been waiting for this moment.
"I am."

The woman's eyes landed on her, anger showing more than a few seconds ago.
"You!" She pointed at Lily.

Kaylie and Dana shared a looked and moved closer to the woman.
"Excuse me, but who are you?" Dana asked.

The woman glared at Dana.
"Your friend killed my daughter." She spat and Lily bit the insides of her cheek.

Lily looked down at her bed cover ashamed of herself.
