After the talk with Mosey, he walked with Prince up the stairs. "You know, when you left, I never thought I see you again."
This made Prince shrug. "We was bound to see each other. Just a matter of when."
He chuckled. "Oh Prince. Anyway, I kept all your things when I moved out here. Wanted to give you some nostalgia if you eva came here."
They stopped at a door, making Prince look over at him. He gestured for Prince to open it so he did. When the door was fully opened, he gaped at the sight. The room before him looked exactly like the one he had in his mother's house. He walked in, carefully, slightly afraid that it would alter before him. The desk he had was in the same spot, even his bed. On the left side of his bed was the bookcase with all his books. He smiled at the sight, making sense to him. "I see why I was such a smart kid."
"Seems like you enjoyin' yoself." He looked back at Mosey to see him smiling. "Seein' you in here really shows me how much you've grown."
Prince held out his hand. "Thanks Mosey. For everythin'."
He shook it smiling. "Thank you fo givin' me a chance."
Prince nodded and fell back on the bed. He chuckled and closed the door. Prince felt his eyes closed, sleep coming so he welcomed it.
**
Prince woke up and saw that it was night. He stretched out, reaching for his phone. When the screen lit up, he saw that it was 8:45. Sighing, he got up and went towards the connecting bathroom. This broke his nostalgic mindset and relived his fatigue enough to focus. He looked at his reflection, shaking his head. Though he didn't feel tired physically, his face said different which made him chuckle. "I'm goin age too fast."
He went over to the linen closet and pulled out a bath and hand towel before stripping and hopping in the shower. As he scrubbed, his mind ventured over the conversation he had with Mosey in his office. Would he really end up lying to her? It's never happened before, and he wasn't about to start. He made a promise to her to not do so and has kept it since then. He eventually shook his head as the answer to his question. He couldn't and wouldn't do that to her. It only seemed like yesterday he made that promise...
*Flashback*
Prince had snuck into her room and was just chilling on her bed. He had just finish making a drop for Mosey and didn't see her in a while. They sat and talked for hours until they just laid in silence.
"Prince?" She looked over at him.
He looked over at her, indicating he was listening. She bit her lip before speaking. "Can I ask you somethin'?"
He nodded. "Sure."
She sighed and turned her attention back to the ceiling. "Have you ever lied to me?"
He sat up, laying on his side to face her more. "No why?"
She mocked his stance, eyes meeting. "So I was talkin' to this guy last month right? And he was going on and on about how much he been wantin' to talk to me and shit. I was flattered but I just got this weird vibe from him. I assumed I was judging him too quickly, so I continued interactin' wit him. I would see him in school, and he wouldn't say shit to me but as soon as I get home, he blow my phone up. So I did some diggin' and found somethin' peculiar. Knowin' he wasn't goin tell me, I decided to see for myself. I made sure to pass him in school and peek out behind the corner. He was waitin at some teacher class. When the bell rang, some girl came up and kissed him full on the lips. I was so mad that I wanted to go up there and shoot him. But I didn't and just breathe, wantin' to be mature about it."
