Mira opened the door to the office, making Prince and Aaron look up. Prince went back to what he was doing but Aaron's eyes lingered on his wife, gauging how she was. When she didn't look his way, he knew she was still pissed. This finding made him sigh and turn back to his work. Mira saw this but just settled at her desk, Torie following suit. "Yeah. We tryna make this as smooth as possible. Like how they operate at Daycare centers."
Torie laughed as they sat down, taking out her laptop. "You did not just compare gang members and mob leaders to 3- and 4-year-olds."
Mira nodded and held up the blank template. "It seems like so."
They immediately divulged into work, Aaron stealing glances every now and then. This made Mira and Prince sigh every time they caught it. They loved their friends to death, but it was insufferable to work with them when they weren't speaking. Torie continued ignoring him, preparing the placement. "So since we asked for the Head and a lawyer, we'll do that pattern. Question is who goes where?" She asked, looking at Mira.
Mira looked at the list of names and back at the template. "Well, as far as I know, it's best to seat Black and Gold and T-201 at the end of the table. That way, we don't get no hard feelings."
"Right he always wanted to feel important." Torie rolled her eyes. "Fuckin' bitch."
Mira chuckled. "I hope you'll play nice come Wednesday?"
"Oh I can be professional, but I have my personal feelings on that group."
"I understand." Mira sighed. "I think placin' them might take longer."
Torie nodded. "I'll start callin' and makin' name cards while you figure it out. I'll start wit the Bianchi family."
Mira nodded and turned back to the template. "Right the Bianchi family would be great sitting next to us. We share a supplier."
She smiled and held the phone up to her ear. "Buonasera signor Bianchi. Come stai?"
Mira smiled as she figured out the placement. The Bianchi family was one of the first groups she met in the Underworld. Ever since then, Prince and Tony (Don of the Bianchi family) have been thick as thieves. She heard Torie chuckle, breaking her journey through memory. "Yes I have been practicin'. Anyway, I wanted to invite you to a meeting on Wednesday. Apparently there are some...grievances that we need to discuss and talk about before things fire up."
She looked at Mira smiling. "I hope to see you there along wit a representative...yes preferably a lawyer...no just as a precaution...alright than you very much...alright bye."
She hung up and turned to her. "We got the Bianchi. Apparently he got a new lawyer though."
Mira nodded, checking them off her list. "Aight. That means Simon isn't comin'."
"Correct. Now, onto the next one. Which is...-"
"36K. That's if they back from Cambodia."
Torie snapped her fingers, remembering that detail. "Right they did travel. Imma try Mateo first then them."
Mira nodded, being reminded by Torie's statement. "That's right. We share the same restaurant. Hights33 can go next to us. Now how are they wit 36K?"
Torie shrugged, dialing a number. "Last time I checked, they had a minor scuffle. However Hights doin' business wit Leonel. Something about stickin' close."
Mira nodded, placing them together. "I'm not sure how that went but the P.A are a neutral group, so they'll be fine between Hights33 and...J195?"
Torie held up her hand. "Mr. Lopez? Yes hi this is...oh you know me? No, I was calling about a meeting we settin' up...you don't mind? That's great. Be sure to bring a representative, preferably a lawyer...no just as a formality. Hope to see you too. Alright bye."
