I slept over at Abel's place. Nothing much happened except that we stayed up talking, like best friends that had known each other for years before he drove me to the hospital and we parted ways.

Jamie was there.

He looked like he'd just ran his way there, and when his eyes fell on the person behind me, they contracted.

"He's a Doctor" I waved whatever he was thinking "And he gave me a ride here. Dead the thought if you please, and what are you doing here by the way?"

"The person I'm married to and my daughter had an accident so of course I came here but then my daughter was resting and her other parent was discharged and I searched at their apartment and they weren't there and then they come on with a doctor behind them—"

"I didn't lie when I said he gave me a ride" i cut in "Just from his house"

A look of disbelief flashed through his eyes "Is this revenge?"

"I'm not that petty" I told him that if he came to see Penny, we were to behave cordial and that he had to control whatever he was feeling.

We did.

Penny stared at us for the longest of times before she said "Is something wrong?"

"You're not in heaven, Penny"

"But the two of you are together again" Her eyes moved between both of us.

"Oh the things we do for Peanut Cullen" I was grinning and she was smiling too.

"Hi Dad" She waved at him.

He say on her bed "Hey, Champ. Am I the only one noticing how your pom pom is behaving?"

"That's how she always is" She was shrugging "She just acts weird with you"

He asked if she was being serious and then they both launched into a language I couldn't understand before Ryan walked in.

She called him an Angel too.

I called him an Angel of doom.

"Glad to see you're alright, Penny" He was smiling at her. It looked alien, weird, but when he looked at me and the scowl was back, I felt relieved "We need you at the film set"

"Now?"

"Oscar is throwing a fit and everyone's being tired and I don't care and I'm supposed to so that's a problem" He was glaring basically "You need to be there to get the last scene under control, now"

"Cam I come?" Penny was looking at me "The doctor's said I'm fine now"

"Oh yes, darling. You're totally allowed to come" He was smiling at her again.

I had this strange feeling he just wanted to push her under a car but I told him I didn't want her to go.

Somehow, we all ended up in Ryan's car

We arrived at the set and my eyes for the first time found Oscar looking like someone just littered the whole place with bottles and plastic and weren't making a move to clean up.

Most of the crew looked happy to see me.

And they looked happier to see Jamie "He looks just like how Adam was described in the book"

Jamie didn't know who Adam is.

"Are you serious?" They were looking at me "He hasn't read it?"

I shrugged.

"She wouldn't let me" That was his answer and they nodded, saying they understood how hard it must be, being married to me and all of that.

Jamie fiy in right with them. Just as he always did. They said he had the Hollywood look for boy next door. With his soft face and glasses and very cute outdoor personality.

"Like Beauty married Beast" Darren said "No offense, Skye, you're the Beast"

I told him I'd rip his heart out if he didn't shut up.

He did.

While Oscar and I worked on the last scene, his eyes kept moving to Penny who was being the most stared at thing on the set "We can use her"

I shook my head "That'd elongate the whole movie for no reason, Penny also has a reading problem so that's another thing and she wants to be a plumber"

"A plumber?"

"Well, there was this time the house was clogged and water came out of the weirdest places. Penny's bed was the first to get wet. I got a plumber to take care of it and she has this sort of weird believe that plumbers are heroes that go around waving the world from drowning and she thinks that's pretty cool"

"So you want your daughter to be a Plumber?"

"There are other worse things. She could have decided to take garbage from people so she can save the world from dirt. I could go on"

"Don't"

The real reason Oscar had sent me away was so that I could have a clear mind when I was doing the last scene with him and that worked well for both of us.

Ryan adored Penny, weirdly enough. I'd never seen him that relaxed or patient with anyone. Jamie was oohed and aahed at.

No one even spared a glance ar me.

Buy at that moment, I realized it didn't matter, I was lucky enough to be given  the two most beautiful souls in the world as a part of my family.

And for that whole day, I was eternally grateful for that.
