Chapter 6

"Can't believe we reunited with Danny here, after almost ten years..." Shelley suddenly sighed sentimentally.

"Oh!" Carys yelled, "We forgot to take him number!"

"It's alright, it's just the beginning of the summer camp, we have a whole summer to spend time with him." Shelley wasn't worried about that.

"But he does changed a lot, right? We used to have the same height, and I was even taller than both of you back then!" Carys has been one of the tallest girls in class since elementary school, she got that from Michelle.

"And now I am still the shortest!! NOT FAIR!!!" Even though Shelley and Danny looked almost the same height when they were younger, but in fact, Shelley was still 1cm shorter than Danny, "That's just not fair!!!"

Carys patted on Shelley's shoulder, "Just get used to it."

Shelley still wasn't giving up her hopes, "Do you think that I am able to grow another one or two centimeters this year?"

Carys shrugged, "I doubt that."

Shelley asked sincerely, "No hopes at all?"

Carys couldn't hold her laughter anymore but she didn't want to upset Shelley, so she answered in a joking way, "Can I answer that in a few months?"

Shelley was all fierce and serious, like a tiger cub, "No, you can't, answer me now!"

Carys just laughed out loud and ran away from there, making Shelley chased after her vigorously.

Carys took a turn to run into the hostel, and so did Shelley, but she accidentally ran into somebody, making both of then stopped.

"Ohh, no, I am really sorry," Shelley apologized immediately and took a few steps back, that's when she saw the person she ran into clearly.

It was Mason, who was also saying "it's okay" and looking up at Shelley, he clearly was surprised to see her too.

"Mason, so sorry, did I hurt you?" Shelley asked again.

"No, you didn't, don't worry about that," Mason smiled a bit to assure Shelley that he was totally fine, "what are you running from?"

Shelley laughed in embarrassment, scratching her forehead, "Not running from anything, I was chasing Carys, it was stupid."

Shelley chasing after Carys? It made Mason curious too, "What was that about?"

Shelley thought about it seriously whether to tell Mason everything or not, and she came out with a better idea, "Okay, let me ask you a question, do you think that, is there any chances, I might able to grow another centimeter or two?"

"Of what? Body part size?" And Mason actually put his sight on Shelley's boobs.

Shelley followed Mason's sight and looked down on her boobs, and quickly covered it with both of her hands, "What are you thinking, and where you looking at, Mason McWay? I am talking about my height!"

Mason blurt out his laughter and Shelley just looking at him laughing, he stopped and patted on Shelley's head, "You're now just the perfect height, no need to be taller anymore."

Shelley frowned a bit and pushed Mason's hand away, made it really clear that, "I am not a kid." So DO NOT PAT ON ME!!!

"Seriously, I love your height, don't feel abased about it." Mason said this in a very earnest tone.

Which made Shelley felt sweet and excited at the same time, "Really?"

But he then added, "It's cute." Okay, he sounded like he is trying really hard to hold back his laughter.

Shelley's face changed immediately, asking Mason, "Go away."

When Mason finally stopped laughing, he explained, "It's true that I think you look cute in your height now, and I don't mean that in a funny way, most importantly, I don't see you as a kid."

"You better are..." Shelley waved goodbye at Mason after that, since Mason is heading to the canteen to look for some food.

After Shelley got back to the room, Carys was talking to Eliza and Hanna. Carys turned back to look for Shelley when she realized she wasn't behind her anymore, and saw her talking with Mason, so she walked back to the room.

Apparently they're talking about a band from UK which was very popular recently.

Eliza was so excitedly saying, "I have been to their concerts too! It's lots of fun, and you must go next time!"

Shelley greeted them and sat on her own bed, and Xenia also walked in a few minutes after her, she smiled at Shelley and said, "I saw Mason with you just now, he looks so happy around you."

Shelley shrugged and laughed embarrassedly, again, "Because he was laughing at my silly thoughts.." Now that she has calm down, she would laugh at her own silly thoughts too.

Xenia continued saying, "But still, you made him laugh. Do you know how hard it is to just make him smile?"

Hanna suddenly joined in their conversation, "Agree. I am his twin, I can't understand what he is thinking, all the craps talking about twins having telepathy things, are just craps." She even rolled her eyes to express her speechlessness on the stupid telepathy mystery.

Shelley would love to listen to more stories about Mason, to get to know him more, but a camp volunteer came to inform them to get ready outside.

They were asked to join their very first activity here. They were told that different group have different places to go, such as JJ, who was in Group D, need to go to the hall, and Group E, which Lucy was in, was asked to gather in front of the canteen.

Meanwhile, Group C assembly point was the lake side, not very far away from Group B, which they planned to conduct the activities under a tree.

Hi guys!!!!! I am back!!!!! I miss you guys so muchhhhh and I am so so so sorry to keep you guys waiting for like, almost 5 years???? A lot has happened during the past few years and I hope everyone is doing fine and staying healthy.

So, what happened to me this few years that made me disappeared, I finished my Master degree, about to quit my second job which made me work over time everyday and every week. I think I accidentally deleted this app few years ago and I was too swamped with my graduate thesis and forgot about it (since it disappeared from my phone and I couldn't see it, let alone thought about it), and my drafts of the next few chapters are all gone....

I will start continue the story from now on, but will need some time to think about the plots again, I will try my best to update twice a week, or at least once a week, since you know, I work overtime every day, so I don't really have much time to myself 😭😭 Hope you guys understand that 🙏🙏
