Chapter 9
Since even Eliza and Molly joined them for lunch, it took some time for Shelley to introduce all the girls to Prim and Rion, and Elijah had to introduce himself too since Shelley didn't know him.
Eliza and Elijah joked that their names looked more like twins than Mason and Hanna did.
And that's what they did, treated each other like real twins now.
"That's a lot of names and faces to remember." Prim sighed quietly and only Shelley could hear her.
JJ sat next to Carys, which was very close to Prim, she looked at her and asked, "I like your name, Prim, are you named after primrose?"
Prim answered patiently, "Yes, my mom loves flowers, both my sister and I are named after flowers."
It made JJ more curious, "What's your sister name?"
"Iris." It's also a kind of purple flower.
You could see it in her eyes, JJ couldn't hold back her appreciation, "I like that name too."
Prim smiled at JJ, sincerely said, "Thanks."
JJ looked like she was very interested in Prim, she then asked a few other questions like 'What do you normally eat in Malaysia?', 'Is it true that it's very hot there?' etc...
Prim answered those questions one by one patiently.
Meanwhile Mason who had finished his burger, asked Shelley who was still enjoying her mac and cheese, "What game were you guys playing? I saw Hanna was the first to come out?"
"It's very hard to explain," Shelley stopped to chew and swallow her lunch, "but Hanna was really the first to get washed out, because of me."
Mason raised his eyebrows, looking interested in the whole story, "Huh? You got Hanna eliminated?"
Hanna heard them talking about her, she also finished her food, so she joined the conversation, "Mason, I'll tell you the whole story, so the game we played is called I AM NOT ME..." Hanna started to explain the rules to the others and the funny stories that got Hanna and Carys knocked out.
Everyone was listening carefully while enjoying their lunch as Hanna is definitely a really good storyteller, she got everyone's attention.
Lucy looked at Hanna with envy, "Your game sounded a lot more interesting than mine, we were playing..."
Then they started talking about the games different groups played, after finishing lunch, they went back to their room to get some rest, before the first afternoon activity started.
That afternoon they had their first college credit lesson, it was 2 hours, and after that, they tried their first outdoor activities around 4:30pm.
They were separated in groups too, and different groups had different activities.
Group A where Cohen and Molly were in, did kayaking.
Group B of Mason and Xenia, they tried high rope course.
The members of Group C got to experience rock climbing.
Luckily, not much of them were feared of height, and the girls, looked even more excited than the guys.
Yes, we were talking about Shelley, Carys, Hanna and Prim.
Rion looked at them like they're one of a kind, how come they could look like they've done this before while it's only their first time to try rock climbing.
Even the trainer said that they're very fast learners and they're natural rock climbers.
When it's Rion's turn to try, he realized that it ain't as easy as the girls made it looked like.
...
For their first night at the camp, the organizers held an opening ceremony camp fire event, everyone got to sing and dance together, they had a lot of fun.
Carys and Shelley was surprised to see both Cohen and Mason were actually enjoying it too.
Carys finally got chance to talk to Cohen, everyone was enjoying the campfire, and no one was actually looking at them, and their friends were blocking them as well.
She tip-toed and asked Cohen, "Isn't it much more interesting than you imagined?"
Cohen smiled, agreed with Carys, "Maybe I should be lucky I am not wasting my time rotting at home now."
Carys suddenly pulled Cohen over and whispered to his ear, "I really want to kiss you, but I can't."
Cohen smirked, "Save it for later, I will make counts."
"Of what?" Carys still asked in purpose even though she had guessed the answer.
This time Cohen stooped to whisper to Carys' ear, "Of how many kisses you owe me."
Carys just chuckled and gazed at Cohen.
Shelley dry-coughing beside the couple, whispering in the voice that only the four of them could hear, "it's not hard for anyone to see that you guys are in love."
Mason was there too, and he agreed, "you guys made it so obvious, if anyone can't tell, they're either blind, or stupid."
Their words finally made the couple apart, Shelley grabbed Carys hand and looked for the other girls to join the campfire dance in the crowd.
They forced Rion to join them as well, who tried to escape, but got pulled back just two seconds later, and he gave up on running away and started to enjoy.
"Poor Rion, he's too easygoing to the girls," Mason was laughing at the scene he saw just now.
Cohen shrugged, "So he always get bullied by them."
Then he followed Mason's line of sight, and he saw Xenia and Hanna dancing, he asked, "You're still not talking to Xenia."
Mason answered quietly, "Nothing to talk to her."
"Alright." Cohen knew Mason still felt like he couldn't get over Xenia yet, but as far as what he saw, he didn't think that Mason really liked Xenia, just like what Xenia exactly said when she broke up with Mason.
They maybe misunderstood their feelings to each other as that kind of 'love', but in fact they just really loved each other as best friends, Xenia already realized that, but Mason hadn't.
Cohen sweared he would not interfere in their affairs anymore, he wanted to see how long would Mason take to realize that.
