After the assembly was over, the teachers and the staffs were giving out the room keys to everyone.
Carys and Shelley were the last two to get called by Mr. Cassidy since he was calling names by room numbers.
"Carys, Shelley, you're in the same room," said Mr. Cassidy passing them their keys.
They took the keys from him and simultaneously said, "Thank you, Mr. Cassidy."
The both girls were so happy they nearly jumped, it's so great they've been assigned to the same room even though they were so ready to live with nine other strangers for eight weeks.
All girls were assigned to House 3 which had eight rooms, while the boys were all staying in House 2 which only had seven rooms. Each room has four bunk beds for eight persons, the first thing they discussed after getting their keys was who's gonna sleep on the upper bunk and who's taking the lower one.
"I am okay with either." Shelley said.
And Carys responded. "Me too."
As they were talking, they reached a room with numbers '308' written on the door.
Before they walked into the room and see who're going to be their roommates, they heard one of the girls complaining, "Even though I am very excited to finally get to join this camp, but, I'm very much not prepared, not physically, not mentally, not emotionally prepared."
The door was opened, so they decided to walk into the room straight away after Shelley knocking on the door twice to announce the girls inside they were going in.
"Hi, sorry to interrupt, but we're your roommates..." Shelley said as she walked into the room, wanting to introduce herself, but her voice faded out and she doesn't even finish the sentence.
Carys, who stood behind Shelley, took a glance at her before following her gaze to see what's going on in the room that made her bestie lost her words.
As she did, she understood Shelley's surprise.
The other six roommates were already in the room, and they knew half of the girls there.
"Carys! Shelley! You are in this room too?" One of the roommates they knew, Jeannine, was walking over to them with widened eyes and a big smile.
They're sharing the same room with Jeannine, Lucy, Hanna and Xenia.
"Golly, this is really..." Shelley looked at the four girls with surprise and greeted them, especially Hanna and Xenia, "Hi!"
They both greeted back with a simple 'Hi' and smile.
Carys doesn't really know Hanna and Xenia though, she just knew that Hanna was Mason's twin sister and Xenia was her best friend, they've only met a few times at some parties, but they never really talked.
After that, Jeannine introduced them to another four roommates, "Carys, Shelley, come on. They are Eliza and Molly from Saint Nicholas School." And then she whispered to her, "They're British! That's so cool!"
Saint Nicholas School? Wasn't that one of the schools from United Kingdom?
The two of them greeted them with 'Hi' , 'Hello' and 'Nice to meet you'. They spoke at the same time, so Carys wasn't quite sure who said what.
Shelley immediately greeted them back, "Nice to meet you too, I'm Shelley."
"I'm Carys." Carys introduced herself to the girls after Shelley.
"Carys? Isn't that a Welsh name?" One of the girls from Saint Nicholas School, if Carys wasn't mistaken, her name was Molly, asked as she heard her name.
